Re: Resmed algorithm

Pugsy, thank you kindly. Your attachment and description is useful in explaining the "soft" setting in the Autoset 10 algorithm therapy. It looks like it is only available for the Autoset 10 and not an option in the VPAP bilevel therapy.

Re: Resmed algorithm

Palerider, as I understood it at the time, the point was to offer an optional setting for those who wanted to compare the results of using it or not. As you say it may only be one of a series of changes made to the Autoset for Her machine, but one which Resmed chose to include in the basic Autoset 1...

Resmed algorithm

Back in 2016, I ended up with a new Resmed Autoset 10 and it included a setting in the clinician menu for a soft setting, which I was told at the time duplicated the Autoset for her setting. You could either turn it on or off and I turned it on and it made a nice difference in treatment. Switch to 2...

Re: PR Dreamstation WiFi modem

Yes it does help and thank you for the Respironics Support Line phone number. I called them and talked to Bob in Support who told me that Respironics does plan to release firmware revisions through the wifi modem, which is part # 100600C. There is a you tube video which shows how it connects into th...

Re: E0471 - are my eyes deceiving me? $$$

Craigs List also has some great deals. I just picked up a Respironics DS760 bipap with 200 hours on it, which is almost new, with humidifier for $300. Just be careful where you go and take someone along with you.

Re: System One heated hose upgrade

It works well and as others have said the kit installation is easy and takes maybe 10 minutes. Mine replaced an Aussie heated tube that was a few years old.

Re: How accurate does a remstar 60 series calculate AHI?

I think they're probably quite accurate depending how they define AHI, which may vary from one manufacturer to another. It's more important to compare the variation of your AHI from one day to another to look for trends in your treatment.

New PR machines coming next year...

I was at my sleep center yesterday getting diagnosed for a Series 60 Bipap Auto to replace my Series 50 model which died on me after 4 years and the RT told me to expect a newer family from Resperonics next year with similar functionality to existing Series 60 models but with an included wireless mo...

PR Series 60 air pressure relief in clinician guide

Is there any way to map the value from PR masks, in my instance the correct value for an Aeiomed Headrest mask, that would correspond to a similar PR mask so I can enter the right setting? • SYSTEM ONE resistance ( ) - This setting allows you to adjust the level of air pressure relief based on the s...

Does anyone know the latest PR Series 60 firmware release?

I just picked up a gently used DS760TS BiPap Auto with Bi-Flex made on Mar. 26, 2014 with firmware release version 3.04. I'm just curious. These devices should have a wireless modem chip set in them to facilitate firmware updates. Washers and dryers, stereo receivers, TV sets - all have them, why no...

Re: Respironics System One Humidifier

Hi akcpapguy, Yes, my humidifier setting has always been on. What I was trying to say is that, at a setting of 4, I was getting rainout(humidifier water delivered into my nose) in the middle of the night. My feeling is that the rainout sensors alone are not sufficient to prevent this, and Resmed in ...
