Re: women with apnea
There are a lot of women here who have sleep apnea. You are not alone. Your beauty will truly shine through once you are feeling rested and healthy instead of feeling exhausted as a norm.

Super dirty air
We are remodeling our house and dust is flying everywhere. I am dusting and vaccuming and mopping like crazy, but my white filters on my machine are getting dirty so fast now. I have the white allergy filter on and the regular black one, but is there anything else I can do to help keep my air clean ...

Re: CPAP and Intimacy
Look on the brightside, if you scare someone off because of a CPap machine, they are just sparing you wasted time with someone who is immature. I think that once you reach a certain age, people can be adults and handle something like wearing a mask to bed. It really isn't a big deal between grown up...

Re: Dating and CPAP
Well it wasn't that difficult for me. I was a little worried at first, but it wasn't a big deal. He asked if I could spend the night. I told him that I had to sleep with a mask on. He knew what sleep apnea was already, so then he was just like, can you bring the machine over? And that was that. It h...

Re: how do you get over the fear:
As far as the hose question- I once got tangled up in my hose, as in, it was wrapped all around my body and my full body weight was on it and I was still able to get air through it. So I don't think you have to worry about the hose kinking up on you.

Re: I think I broke my machine
I have no clue how I got tangled up. Probably because the cord hangs right beside my side of the bed. I could put it on the floor, I do have an eight foot hose.

Re: I think I broke my machine
My Dad has a better relationship with our DME than I do. He actually uses them for his supplies and I do not. So I took both machines to my Dad's house and the DME came over and was able to set the backup machine correctly so I was relieved by that. The machine I dropped dried out, then I left it bl...

Re: I think I broke my machine
I lied. I am having a massive anxiety attack right now. I have no idea what to do.

I think I broke my machine
I rolled over tonight and knocked it off of the night stand. I felt inside of it where the tank is and it was not wet. However, it makes a horrible sound when it is on. Naturally my back up machine isn't working right. I think I am looking for sympathy more than anything else. My insurance only pays...

Back Up Machine is Busted
Okay so the back up machine is the exact same as the regular machine and set with the same settings. I did a switch to see if perhaps it was just my boyfriend's house that was trying to kill me, but no, the back up machine is malfunctioning. With the backup machine I have severe dry mouth, it is lou...

Re: Gas pains and backup machine
I replaced the squishy part of the mask (what, that is not the techincal term for it? ) and now I might try lowering my pressure. Time to get out the manual and learn how to mess with it. It got better, then yesterday I thought I had terrible gas pains, but I think it might have just been a stomach ...

Re: Gas pains and backup machine
The machines are the same and the pressure is set to the same at both. The sleep sites do vary in terms of how high the humidifier is cranked up. I am a bit allergic to where I sleep with the back up machine, as a cat used to live in it. I am allergic to cats. Everything has been scrubbed and washed...

Gas pains and backup machine
I tried to search for this topic, as I am sure there are tons of threads about it already, but my search came up empty. I have been using my back up machine recently. I have checked it and it is set to match the one I normally use. However, I have noticed extreme gas pains on the nights that I use t...
