Re: 5 good nights in a row!
Hi DreamOn!!! The cloth gauze works great and is very easy to use. I bought the 2" roll and just wind it around the pillow and use a small piece of tape to hold it on. Comes off easy for cleaning the mask and put on fresh again! I added a little more than I usually do last night and I didn't have an...

Re: 5 good nights in a row!
Tony Little's micro bead pillow, saw it advertised on TV and found it at Bed Bath and Beyond. It is filled with micro beads that give good support, but move with you. It has helped me tremendously sleeping on my side without pushing on the mask and causing it to leak. I found it much more comfortabl...

Re: 5 good nights in a row!
Thanks Katie, Rested gal and Judy! Katie, I got the idea to try the fleece beanie cap from the papcap. I was afraid to order one because I have a smaller head and didn't think I would like having my whole head covered. I didn't mind spending $5 to try the beanie! LOL! If they make a papcap out of fl...

5 good nights in a row!
I think I have finally got it down!! Thanks to all the advice, tidbits and ideas from this forum! I was having problems with taking my mask off, or it slipping off during the night. I would wake up and never remember actually taking it off so had no idea how long I had been without it. My machine do...

Re: waking up
Before cpap, one month today, I only woke up once maybe twice a night. Since cpap, I wake up 5-7 times a night because of leaks, discomfort, readjust mask or hose, etc. BUT! before cpap I was tired ALL the time, had a brain fog that some days was so bad it scared me, headaches, arrhythmia, tachycard...

Re: How does a Dr. track therapy with no patient data?
Thanks for the response Dreamon and Kathy! And thank you for the encouragement! I know my post was pretty whiney, but I needed to vent a little of my frustrations! I posted my crocheted hose cover and my equipment setup on the thread you suggested dreamon. To give a little more detail about how I go...

Re: CPAP on the Cheap and Creative Modifications
Here's my handy work! I crocheted my hose cover and it worked really well to stop the rain out! Notice my "cheap" hose hanger! Yes, it's a rubber band! http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r227/s-and-j_07/DSC00552-1.jpg http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r227/s-and-j_07/DSC00557-1.jpg http://i145.phot...

Re: How does a Dr. track therapy with no patient data?
I am a newbie, started cpap on November 3rd. I wish I had found this forum and done some research before my sleep studies and bought my machine. I did not have a choice of machines! When the sleep center called and told me the results of my first study they set me up the next night for the cpap titr...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, I had success the very first night! I am very new, first night on CPAP was Nov 3rd, last week! I started the sleep study with a small comfort gel that just covered my nose. I fell asleep fairly quick, but woke up around 1 am with my nose, lip, teeth and sinuses kil...
