Re: TV series is looking for people wanting to lose 10 stone
I cannot think of a single way in which a show such as this would not be exploiting obese people for ratings and yukks. Sounds like the show in the US "The Biggest Loser". Yep, those people on biggest loser did get exploited for ratings but they got paid back by becoming normal sized people again. ...

Re: O/T 106 pounds lost and 34 to go.
So far it looks like the loss of weight has allowed me to bring my usual pressure of 17 down to 12.5 while maintaining an AHI of 2 but I am still tweaking it. For me this is wonderful becaue it was a total pain in the butt trying to keep the mask from leaking now that I do not have a fat face. Now I...

Re: O/T 106 pounds lost and 34 to go.
How did you accomplish this? I need to lose some significant weight. I was hoping the CPAP would give me the boost in energy needed to exercise! I maintain my calories at about 1500 cals perday plus a weekly re-feed day on Wednesday when I up my calories to about 3000. I do this to make my body thi...

Re: nasal odors
Do a google on "tonsil stones" and see if you think that might be the problem.

Re: O/T 106 pounds lost and 34 to go.
Congratulations!!!! I had hoped that the cpap would help me lose. After 2 years I have not lost much, just about 12 lbs. Lately I have been going to the pool every day and spend an hour and more every day just pedalling my legs as I sit on my "noodle" I have finally noticed some loss. Living in Flo...

Congratulations! I have to lose about 130 lbs if I want to get back to a normal weight, whatever that means. I'm so happy for you! Snowman You look a lot younger than me so I bet you can lose it much faster than I did. I would suggest that if possible you get your testosterone levels checked. If th...

O/T 106 pounds lost and 34 to go.
Hooray for me! My blood pressure meds have been cut by two-thirds and I can now do things that I had forgotten I once could do. Just hope my skin keeps on shrinking down to fit the new me, so far it looks like that might happen.

A question about the new provent OSA device
I am wondering if you have to have another titration test before you can get it or can you just get your sleep doctor to prescribe it? It seems to me that you wouldn't be able to tell if it was actually working optimally for you unless you have a study done while you are wearing it. Anyone know anyt...
