Re: OK All You Poligrip People. Are You KIDDING ME??

Because when I use the tape, and I have tried 10 different kinds, it won't work and I 'breathe' right through them or slobber so much with my mouth open even with tape that it makes the adhesive on the tape loose. Using the poligrip makes it so that my mouth does not come open at all. Wish I could j...

Re: Awesome pulmonologist experience!

That is so great to hear!!! I am glad you are doing well and being pro active. Sounds like your doc was impressed! I am curious, you doctor is a pulminologist not a 'sleep doc'? I have been on cpap for over 3 years now and doing pretty well but continuing issues with swallowing air no matter what an...

Re: OSA, CPAP, insurability, and life expectancy

I can only hope that it means we would have an increase in life expectancy. I was told that if I did NOT use cpap I was likely to have a stroke or heart attack within 5 years and I am 39 and have OSA severely. I know that when I was diagnosed I was close to being admitted to a hospital - and now I a...

I just got back from traveling on a plane for the first time with my cpap - I put my humidifier in my suitcase and took the actual cpap and aussie hose with me in a carry on and they just 'swabbed' it. They used a new Q tip type thing, swabbed the top of the machine and ran the Q tip thing thru a ma...

Hi all I went to my NEW sleep doc today and it went really well - we talked for over an hour and he was actually interested in trying to help me - having sinus issues still - anyway - He learned new info from me, which I thought was really funny - and I told him I tape my mouth while using the swift...

I have used both the oracle and I have the aveo tsd the oracle is a great concept and if I could plug my nose without pain and sleep or do a weird snort thing, then I would have stuck with that as I continue w/ sinus issues and bridge of nose issues re; the aveo tsd - it is a pain to get if you live...
