Re: Machine malfunctioning / shutting off if I exhale too hard

If you haven't already, please go to the equipment section of your profile and fill in your equipment. I almost didn't reply to your post because I wasn't sure what machine you had. The profile entry makes it much easier. Its strange. I have it selected but it doesn't show up. I changed to another ...

I'm glad it was able to help you. I've done one night so far without any problems. Will you please return and report your results as well?

Re: Machine malfunctioning / shutting off if I exhale too hard

Glad to hear you got the problem fixed (crosses fingers). I'll try to make a mental note of that solution fixing that problem. I knew about that "fix-it" thread and the missing screw, I just didn't remember what it was supposed to fix. I was thinking something about the humidifier or some other pro...

Re: Machine malfunctioning / shutting off if I exhale too hard

Didn't I give you the name of one of my contacts in SLC some time back?........ "DFS, Inc." Yes you did. Thank you for the reminder. They sound like a good resource. Everybody should have a backup machine, just in case. I agree! A few people mentioned this. I actually do have an old non-auto I can ...

Re: Machine malfunctioning / shutting off if I exhale too hard

cpap.com has some good deals on the 60 series PR S1 machines now that the new Respironics DreamStation is out if you want to stay with Respironics. I didn't even realize the DreamStation existed. Based on my initial look into it, it seems like it doesn't really do anything the PR1 60 doesn't do. Is...

Machine malfunctioning/shuts off if I exhale too hard-FIXED!

Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with my PRS1 50. I bought it in 2010. Basically, the machine has been shutting off and rebooting randomly at night. I've woken up several times when it happens but I have no idea how frequently its occurring. At first I thought it might be a problem with the powe...

Re: Discussion/feedback thread for CPAPfit Pillow beta testers

I used to live in Alaska so I did not qualify for the beta tests. I'm now in Utah. How do I change my info or whatever for the beta program to qualify for these now? Send me an email. Sleepguy@comcast.net So it turns out that blakepro and I are literally neighbors. And we already know each other. I...

Re: Machine motor whining - please help

My machine has 10,020 blower hours. Is that a lot for a cpap machine? How many do you typically get before the machine dies?

Re: Machine motor whining - please help

the 60 series IS the new machine. Yeah, I guess your right. I just thought maybe they would have a newer revision since the 60 has been out for a while now. The Airsense 10 and Aircurve 10 are the new lines for Resmed. Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I thought that those were just travel size...

Re: Machine motor whining - please help

Seems like the current versions of cpap machines from Respironics (the PRS1 60) and Resmed (S9) have been around for a while now. I wonder if there are any new revisions on the horizon. I prefer Respironics equipment. Anyone have any insight into how often they release update machines?

Machine motor whining - please help

I have a PRS1 50 auto and it has been working faithfully for years. I recently went on a business trip and took my machine with me. I was careful with it, took it as carry on, didnt drop it or hit it into anything (as far as I know) Anyway, When I got back home I switched out everything on the machi...

One battery solution and some stats

I recently asked for help figuring out some stuff for a battery for camping. I received some great help and I just wanted to report the results and findings in a less cluttered fashion so that it may (hopefully) benefit someone in the future. First: THE STATS . THESE WILL BE UPDATED AS I CONDUCT MOR...

Re: Please help me figure out this camping battery stuff

I plan to do that about two or three more cycles to get a baseline of how long my machine operates at humidity settings of 5, 3, 1 and zero. Can you keep us posted on this experiment in terms of humidity use? When I experimented I wasn't able to get one minute longer battery use with changing the h...
