Re: Adding Oxygen ?

I recently bought this one. It works with Oscar software, so syncs with your reports.

Re: Switched to ASV

I remember Katie from years ago when she first started on cpap.....she had belly issues even back then and had to make compromises even back then. Now her PS has to be limited but it's still enough to deal with the central issue (and the obstructive issue) and while it is limited now...when it was ...

Great job Katie - it looks like the ASV was the right decision for you. Do you notice any difference in how you feel?
Yes, I feel rested when I wake up now. And I think my general health will improve, now that i am getting good sleep again.

You still going to see the pulmonologist? Seems like it would still be worthwhile.
Yes, absolutely.

Switch to ASV was huge success! Update.

When I last posted, I was having Central Apnea Index of 20-30, using Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset For Her. For 10 years, I had simple Obstructive Apnea, then in August, after pulmonary edema, the Centrals started, and increased. The earliest available appt with a Pulmonologist/Sleep Doctor was Feb 6 (...

To learn how to change the setting, you can get a copy of the Clinical Manual here:

Re: Heated tube not heating - raining in my nose - any ideas?

Can you improvise a hose cover? if you are a sewer, make a long tube out of a light weight material, t shirt or fleece. Or if not a sewer, some tube socks, hand stitched together. Also, try lowering your cpap so it is lower than your mask, so gravity can prevent rainout into the mask. A room humidif...

Re: seeking feedback and hope

First, welcome to the Forum. You will find much support and information here. Hang in there! I have been using CPAP for 10 years, and can tell you from personal experience, that this is all worth it. I have read this entire thread, and these are my thoughts (for what they're worth): 1. You really ne...

Re: New user, is machine insurance worth it?

Another factor is your insurance coverage, or if you are on Medicare. When my cpap stopped working, it was after the 2 year warranty, but I am on Medicare. I took it into my DME, and it was the power cord, which they replaced for free. Personally I would put the $75 towards a backup machine, to have...

Re: Can I use my old battery for new dreamstation?

I am not familiar with your battery. But I recently called Battery Power Solutions.net 877-445-5228 and they were very helpful. I have a Dream Station 12 volt Adaptor and wanted to know if the BPS C100 battery would work with it. This battery has been replaced by the Freedom cpap Battery, which they...

Re: Inaugural post: Argh, Air Canada

This has been my experience: I travel from the US usually to Asia, and find that airlines differ in their policies. I have been told that, even in Business Class, the power consistency of plug-in cannot be guaranteed, and I must bring my own power. Some ask that you call the airline at least 2 weeks...

Re: Should I get an oxygen monitor

This is the one I got, from Amazon.com
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0796 ... UTF8&psc=1

I have a Mac, so their software doesn't work, but it syncs just fine with Oscar and is included in the daily report.
