Re: New person with insurance/DME annoyances
Welcome to the frey! I too feel that same way a lot! One thing though Im on CPAP and some do have comfort settings that start at low pressure and slowly build to th high pressure. The thought being that you will be asleep by the time it gets there and you wont notice. I would say give it a try first...

Re: Attn: newbies, your brain may be fried....
I just wish that insurance would take this as seriously as it should. My doc scared the crap out of me and after he explained his self I understood he was right. My O2 had dropped to 65 during my study, if you were in the hospital for some reason and that happened it would go like this... "Code Blue...

Re: Battery Pack / backup & Insurance
Cool! Your giving me hope! The Dr is doing that and Im working with BCBS... so maybe!
Im in NC so we do have frequent outages although they are typically not all night, but I do need the CPAP if I want to be functional the next day.
Thank You!

Battery Pack / backup & Insurance
Has anyone successfully claimed a battery system on their insurance?
Even with my AHI 126.6 and O2 65% Im having difficulties with getting insurance to see the need.
I think they want me to hold my breath!
Why does insurance not recognize the need for CPAP equipment like anything else?

Re: POLL: What was your AHI at your diagnostic sleep study?
I'm still learning all these different things but mine was 126.6 So I have more ??? What is titration? How can I get my current levels from the CPAP? I dont have the software, I do have the card in the CPAP I just dont have a way to read it unless that can be done through the LCD panel on the machine.

Re: Intro and Who here has AHI 100+?
To be honest I dont remember what my readings were at my followup but I think it was in the 10-15 range (AHI) and O2 was at 96%. I know my sleep has improved drastically and one of the major symptoms of the O2 levels has passed. At first they thought I might have diabetes due to the fact that healin...

I have been lurking here a few months and decided to join. I have been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea (duh, why else would I join?) I'm 44 and I have been accused of snoring LOUDLY since I was in my late teens early twenties. So I have been reading here and just wanted to say thanks even though you didn...
