Important: Get leaks under control
Hi friends, been a long time since I visit, for reason being cpap treatments went well for a long time. While on my journey using data, I discovered the key reason as to why I began to feel better. Once I achieved zero leaks, AHI decreased rapidly, stayed below 1 persistently for weeks,. I was sleep...

Re: Waking up too much
When I first began using cpap, for several months or more, I woke up every 2-3 hrs, then 4 hrs, then 6 hrs, most times for no apparent reason, other then just waking up, as time past I began to sleep more soundly, now I'm sleeping 8-9 hrs solid. You may be just going through an adjustment phase. Sle...

Re: Do I have mixed sleep apnea? Was the Sleep doc. sloppy?
Hi friend, tbh I have no idea, how to interpret sleep study data, but if your not comfortable with your sleep doctors analysis, you could alway's send your report to another sleep specialist for interpretation. Re: Burping after thyroid surgery
Talked to sleep doc yesterday, got me in for appt today. She reviewed data, said I was maxing out at 11 alot since surgery, possibly due to throat swelling. She changed my pressure to 7-14,. She said, if I'm still burping, once my throat heals after a month, schedule another appt. Oh, she also said ...

Re: Not adjusting to Cpap
Looks to me your leak rate is out of control, along with AHI,. Need to figure out why? you take off mask or mask is coming off, try to get your leak rates down, that would be my first approach

Re: Burping after thyroid surgery
Yes, you're not giving things time to recover and there's more going on in that area than you might realize and you don't want to aggravate them... I would definitely talk to the surgeon, or at least my own doctor about what you're doing when... it could be weeks before things settle down and you c...

Re: Burping after thyroid surgery
Wow ! After thyroid surgery my AHI shot up ! AHI 6.0 !! Pressure set to 7-11,. Pressure median = 10.4,. Night prior to surgery AHI 2.3, straight pressure 11,. Leaks zero both sleep nights. Very strange AHI increased, now I have no throat obstruction. Maybe my throat needs time to heal after surgery,...

Re: Questions my doc can't answer.
Question 2: I've been tested for diabetes several times over the past couple of years. I've had gym related injuries and because I'm larger than my Japanese friends the doctors always assume something is wrong. Well, in the summer just as I was starting CPAP I have a H1ac level of 5.3 (Well in the ...
