Happy New Year y'all from drought-stricken South Central Alabama (Montgomery). Not really complaining but, does some one have some rain that they can ship down here. We are about 16"+ under "normal".
Enough of that, so everyone have a safe abd happy New Year. May '08 be better than '07 was.

CPAP pressures
As we know, CPAP pressures are stated in "cm". I know what cm means, but how does that translate in water pressure? I have been "behind a mask" for nearly 3 years and still don't understand that term.

Question for the "Experts"
I have an F&P HC-431 FF mask. The seal has split on the lower right side. Is there a way to repair this?
I "like" the F&P as much as one can "like" a CPAP mash.
Thanks for any help.

How is everyone's weather?
We are seriously H-O-T here in Montgomery, AL. We have had 100+ for the entire month of August. Heat indices have been in the 103 range or higher.
Not much fun!!!
And now for the rain. We haven't had anything to speak of since July. If anyone has some that they would like to send this way, please do.

Extremely dry mouth
Hey y'all, It has been a long time since I have written. Have a question for the "experts". I have a ResMed S7 Lightweight Machine with a humidifier and I am using an F&P HC431 FF mask. I run the humidifier at approximately half open. I "like" the machine and mask, as much as one can like these thin...

Repair cuts or breaks on an F&P HC-431 FF Mask seal
Is there an easy or efficient way to repair cuts of breaks on the above mentioned mask?
I have this mask and the seal on the Large Size has developed cuts or breaks. I want to repair the breaks. Anybody have any suggestions?

Re: New mask and loving it !
Jim, I am at 11 cm. Sleep study indicated 10, but I bumped it to 11. I use the large size seal on mine. If I had thought of changing cushion size on my UMFF, I could have been happier, don't know. But my HC431 seems to be doing the trick. Hope it continues.

New mask and loving it !
I recently obtained an F&P HC 431 mask. It is a much better mask than my UMFF's. I have used it for about 1 week now, and there are less leaks, less noise, and it is more comfortable. It took the usual tweaking, but I am used to tweaking everything.
One could almost say that it is "user friendly"

Paykel HC431 FF Mask
Thanks for your replies and encouragement. It's now 2 nights down and ?? to go. This mask is more comfortable, leaks less and makes less noise than my UMFF's. I'm using the large size seal, and this may have something to do with it. I think that I have found a "keeper". Only time will tell.

Fischer & Paykel HC431 FF Mask
I received an F&P HC431 FF Mask yesterday. I used it last night and so far, so good.
It was more comfortable then my UltraMirage FF’s. Of course, how can something like a CPAP mask be “comfortable? It didn’t leak and wasn’t nearly as noisy. We’ll have to see how it performs over a longer span.
