Re: Assistance needed - higher AHI with full face mask

Dream on, also consider that its possible for whatever reason that you feel more comfortable sleeping on your back with the Quattro and you sleep on your side more with the Activa (or that you are less comfortable sleeping on your side with a FF mask. I know I am more comfortable with the nasal mask...

...Not at all. I experienced a little discomfort the first night, but its easy to get used to and really opens up the nares. Do you use it in place of xPAP? No, I use it in addition to xPap. The theory being it will enlargen the nares and so treatment will be more efficient. Well that's my theory. ...

From the Specifications page:
SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY
ResScan 3.10
I'm assuming 3.10 is not 3.1 (a back version from the 3.7 many of us have), but 3.10 is an upgraded version of 3.7.

Poor numbering scheme. Shoulda called it 4.0.

Re: NYC A.W.A.K.E. meeting was absolutely amazing tonight!

Jeff, I'd like to add a few words about Dr. Park from my personal experience with him. I went to see him for a consultation on my deviated septum and enlarged turbinates back in late December as a "holiday" present for myself. First of all, he is the same in person as he is at his seminars. Also he ...

Also, others have had success with pad-a-cheek's.

Re: Ask Dr. Park About Sleep Apnea

I have a personal call with Dr. Park tomorrow concerning my treatment. I will mention this thread to him, and perhaps he might be willing to comment on the posts here. Thanks, Gary. I expect Dr. Park has been reading this thread all along, but it would be interesting to read his comments if he choo...

Re: Ask Dr. Park About Sleep Apnea

As I recall I think there is a web link so even if you're out of area you should be able to hear it on the internet. I've done this in the past with a few of his calls - just listened on the internet. Can't call in a question but can listen (while you surf cpaptalk.com). Now for tomorrow's call I d...

Re: Ask Dr. Park About Sleep Apnea

How do we listen to this? I've never done this type of thing before. You make a free phone call from your own phone... to a phone number you'll be given if you register (registration is free) for the free teleseminar call. You can listen to it on your own phone, if you make the call on the listed d...

Re: 15 nights & feeling worse: what would you change 1st?

Setting min/max the same does give you FL(Flow Limitations) which have been described here as HI wannabe's. From what I gather the pros don't get too excited about them or pay much attention. Muse's suggestion is important when you use a Respironics machine, the PB420E (and I believe Sandman too). ...

Re: 15 nights & feeling worse: what would you change 1st?

SAGirl, have you considered running at a range of 10-10 (yes both 10) for a few nights to see what happens with your numbers? Could be you don't do well with varying pressure. Can't remember if you use ramp...based on your numbers, I'd set it to 8 or 9 for just a few minutes...that's if you need it...

Re: Ask Dr. Park About Sleep Apnea

The PR System One REMStar Auto claims to detect, but not treat, RERAs. Not sure what it uses as a proxy for a true RERArousal, as obviously it can't tell if there has been an arousal. He commented on how new this whole field is. He did mention there is a new machine out that does measure these even...
