Re: Ughhh Cold starting

I found that my nasal mask actually helped me to breathe during my cold and I slept very well. I didn't take any medication and my cold seemed to be gone sooner than normal.

Re: How old were you when

I started in August 09 at the age of 58. I think I started having problems with sleep apnea in the early 90's. Wish I would have started then.

Re: cpap sucks

It's okay to rant. Wait until you have a morning like I did today. I slept for nine hours last night. The most restful and beautiful sleep I have had in years. I woke up feeling like a million bucks. And I still think that wearing a mask is a pain but I will continue with it until something better c...

Re: Humidifier Increases Congestion ?

I just got off the phone with my dme who told me that my congestion from using the swift lt was caused from not using the HH high enough. She told me to turn it up tonight. I think I will turn it down or maybe even off to see what happens.

Swift users

I have two masks I am trying out. The Swift LT and Mirage Liberty. I loved my Mirage ffm but hated what it did to my face. I didn't realize how bad it was until now, I haven't used it for a couple of nights and the difference in my poor face is amazing. The whites of my eyes are white again instead ...

Low leak rate the worse I feel

Why would I feel worse when my leak rates are at the lowest? My leak rate last night was .10 and I feel awful today. When it is over .40 I feel great. Is there something I should be changing on my settings? I am set on 11.2 with EPR of 1.

Re: blurry vision

Let us know how it goes with the new mask. I was checking it out online and if you really like it I might order one for myself.

Sleepyred - So you really like it that much? I am looking for a pillow to use but have hesitated with the regenesis because of a previous bad experience with a buckwheat pillow (pre-cpap). Why do you think it works so well?

Marietjie - And three very handsome men at that!

Re: Poll: how long to work the bugs out

The first, and only, mask that I have works for me. I was lucky and did not have any problems either. I am going to try a nasal pillow mask but if it doesn't work I will stick with the ffm that I have.

Re: facial swelling from full face mask

Foxhunter - Do you have any sinus issues? When I started with cpap I had an appointment with an ENT who told me I have a deviated septum and other issues that I might need surgery for. It seems like I have at least one side of my nose blocked at all times. I am worried that this will make it hard fo...
