That would be great if it was reduced to only 5. A few nights I had horrible nasal congestion and took off my mask. My husband said he hadn't HEARD me snore so maybe I have made a significant improvement. Thanks so much for the reply, info and advice. I'll do just that!
Cheers,
Cathy

Re: Lost weight and having issues
Thank you both!!! I had a Duodenal Switch. It's a great form of weight loss surgery. Best thing I ever did for myself and my health besides CPAP therapy. You can see what it's about at http://www.dsfacts.com or http://www.duodenalswitch.com if you are interested. I'm hoping I can get off CPAP altoge...

Lost weight and having issues
Hi All, I have lost about 62 lbs in the last few months (yippee) and I think my pressure setting is too high now. I have a DeVilbiss Intellipap and the pressure is set at 15. I have some more weight to lose and I can't afford another sleep study right now so I went on here and found a way to the cli...

I wear a headband (ala Olivia Newton John style) around my head under my mask. Otherwise, I would have that, too.

Re: Hospital stays and CPAP
Hey Mindy, I just came on to the site to tell people that weight gain or loss can seriously change the CPAP experience. I saw your post. I just had bariatric surgery (the Duodenal Switch)!!!! I had gained weight when I was "dieting" before surgery and was having a horrible time with my CPAP. I have ...

Re: Struggling to hang in there !!!
Have you considered not resting during the day? Also, your Green Tea may have some caffeine in it so stop drinking that a few hours before bed. My need for sleep has gone down since starting CPAP. It was frustrating me to get less sleep but then I realized I didn't need it as much. I had the BEST sl...

Re: Harry's Sleep Study (my 6-year-old) Do I Need to Follow Up?
Last weekend I met a woman who was diagnosed with Narcolepsy. I was telling her that at one point I thought I had it until I was diagnosed with OSA instead. I was saying that I hallucinated while I was falling asleep (dreaming when I just layed down) which was why I thought I had it. When I got my s...

Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
I have been on CPAP for almost 3 months. My first day I couldn't wait until evening to wear it. I took a one hour nap with it and I was in love! I hadn't felt so good ever. The first night....beautiful refreshing wonderful sleep. I cried to my diagnosing doctors office that they saved me! The next f...

Re: Any tricks for survival for a face down sleeper
I am a face down sleeper and it's probably the biggest cause of my problems. It's just so hard to break the habit!!! I love my boomerang pillow...it helps. I used to get them at Mervyn's until they closed. Not sure where I will get them now. I also use a neck roll pillow to prop up my chin. The falc...

Re: Honeymoon is OVER...need input please
Yes, I am on Lisinopril which I know causes cough. I take it in the morning and after a few minutes I will cough a few times during a 20 minute period but then stop for the rest of the day. I went a few days without it to see if it would help. It didn't. About 5 minutes after I put my mask on, I can...
