Re: What happened to Respironics Softcap?

This place say's it's in stock https://www.comfortmedicalstore.com/product/blue-mesh-softcap-headgear That website won't allow me to actually place an order. I found a different site that works the same way. I gave my info to both sites and will now need to wait for them to contact me about a purch...

Re: What happened to Respironics Softcap?

How does this work -- do you "plug" the cushion into the softcap somehow? Will it help cure leaks? Thanks for the input. It's just a different style of headgear. For me, the cap wraps around my head completely and is much more comfortable than other gear. It lasts a lot longer than other pieces of ...

Re: What happened to Respironics Softcap?

I haven’t called them yet, but I will. I started looking last night. The link I posted says it’s not available. It’s not available anywhere I have searched online so far.

Thanks,
Tony

What happened to Respironics Softcap?

The blue mesh softcap has been a life saver for me. It is by far the best fitting headgear for me. I looked tonight to order a couple for and it appears nobody carries it. Has it been discontinued? If so, I’m nervous as I’ll have to figure out a new Plan B. If it’s gone, do you know of a different o...

Re: Respironics Bipap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999

Thank you. Cpap.com doesn't carry your model machine. The one you saw is just a regular Bipap Auto...can't do the special ASV stuff. Should you ever be in the market...check secondwindcpap.com. They will often have gently used or sometimes new open box zero hour ASV machines of various models in the...

Re: Respironics Bipap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999

Hours of use cannot be reset except at the factory level. If it still works it really doesn't matter that the total hours are accurate or not but I would check in to what is needed to have a new machine available when/if this one decides to die. Thanks to all for your responses. The link on the Phi...

Not when it still works. I can't tell for sure which machine I would need to buy now that this one has been discontinued.

Respironics Bipap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999

My Respironics Bi-Pap Auto SV hour meter stopped at 19999 last week. Does that machine stop counting at 19,999 hours?

Re: Health Savings Account (HSA) used to buy battery for CPAP?

Thanks for finding this quote. Good stuff. I contend yes. From my HSA website: Batteries - Expenses paid for the purchase of batteries are reimbursable when they are used for the sole purpose of an item that is also covered. This would include, but not be limited to, batteries for blood pressure mac...

Health Savings Account (HSA) used to buy battery for CPAP?

I have purchased a battery & charger to run my Bi-PAP system during a power outage. Am I allowed to pay for these expenses from my HSA account? I have read through the IRS website rules for allowable expenses. I believe it is allowable but I am not sure. What do you know? Or think?

Thanks,
Tony

Re: Plastic Smell From CPAP Last Night !

I smell a burned plastic smell if the humidifier tank goes empty during the night. It is a sickly, sweet, burned odor that I hate. Did your water tank go empty (or nearly empty)?

Re: Brand new FFM arrived Mirage Quatro: many FFM?

I tried every mask available when I started PAP therapy. I battled leaks with every mask. The Quattro was the best mask for me. I discovered that sleeping on my side makes it more likely to avoid leaks than sleeping on my back. I have since changed my headgear to the Respironics Softcap. https://www...

Re: central sleep apnea

It took me many months to accept my BiPAP. Stay convinced that you need it and ask questions here to solve issues one-at-a-time. Your brain will get used to it. For me, the first 2 months were hell. The next few months were better but I was angry that I couldn't sleep without it. Then I slowly reali...
