Re: Motor hours message.

Thanks, it has over 20,000 hours on it. Luckily I have an even older back up machine with much less hours on it if it should quit working until I can contact my provider.

Motor hours message.

I’m getting a message that I have exceeded my machines motor hours and to contact the service department. It still works the same. Is this urgent or is it just a prompt to buy a new machine. It is a S9 auto and it’s been too many years to remember when I got it.

Re: OTish : Jury Duty with Sleep Apnea

It all depends on how you answer their questions when they interview you, whether you get picked or not. I was summoned for jury duty and was dismissed for the cases because of the way I answered the questions. Easy as that!

Re: Are there any doctors here?

Just because there are doctors or nurses on a site like this does not mean they know everything about sleep issues. I am an RN, but the area I work in has nothing to do with apnea and other sleep problems. Those of us in the medical profession can not know everything there is to know in all areas of...

Have you tried the Swift LT for her? I also have leak problems with the Swift FX. I find the Swift LT for her to be more stable, with less leaks. You can wear your glasses with it on too!

Re: What is the best mask for side sleeping?

I use the Swift LT for her and this works well for me, sleeping on my side or back. I tried the Swift FX and had problems with leaking in any position. But as a few have already said everyone is different and it may take a few masks before you find the perfect one for you. Good luck!

Re: Gorilla Duct Tape!!!!

When I found out that Vicks works on toenail fungus, I casually mentioned to DH that it was just a matter of time until somebody tried it on jock itch. I thought he understood I was NOT suggesting HE try it--until I heard the shouting from the bathroom. Vicks does work wonders for toenail fungus an...

Re: Is it safe to tape mouth to prevent mouth leaks?

I have been taping my mouth for the past 3 years. Even had the electricity go out and woke up immediately. I prefer to use nasal pillows and this help me prevent mouth leaks. Everyone has their own preferences and you will get lots of different advice, but it's worth a try to see if it works for you...
