Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
It is entirely possible that you are one of the people who find that too much humidity is as bad as too little humidity. It is just the way you are and that's all it means. Everybody has their own personal needs and nothing wrong with it. Look on the bright side which is you may not need to refill t...

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
Continue as is and see if you create a trend or if last night's results was a one off thing
We just want you sleeping well without congestion messing things up no matter how you accomplish it.

Re: BiPap - Severe bloating no matter what I do
A very acceptable report......both from symptom relief and an unremarkable AHI or detailed report. Dig out that pulse ox and see what it says. I doubt seriously if your O2 levels were/are low at these settings at least from the OSA side of things. Simply not enough events to cause desats. Now you co...

Re: BiPap - Severe bloating no matter what I do
Okay....let's back up a bit and try to figure out if it is the EPAP or IPAP causing the aerophagia (or maybe both)
Try these settings....
Minimum EPAP at 7
PS of 4
Max IPAP 12
Report back tomorrow with results and also if any effect on the bloating.

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
Hose air temp is just for comfort (how it feels in general) and condensation prevention. Humidity setting itself isn't varied with hose air temp. If you drop the hose air temp too much you will likely get water form in the mask and/or hose. Google "cpap rhinitis".....I seriously doubt that the humid...

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
Do you happen to own a hygrometer?
Where you live does it rain a lot or fairly dry most of the time?

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
Does Oscar report the actual settings when auto is applied? No I don't think so...."auto" for climate control should give you something around 4 for humidity but it should still say "auto". If you are seeing a "1" for humidity then it's not set to auto....it should show "manual" for "climate contro...

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
A setting of 1 for humidity is about as low as you can go....so I doubt it is too much. Humidity (either too much or too little) can make nasal congestion worse and we don't know what your nasal mucosa wants or needs. I need a humidity setting of 8 (which is the max available) or I get some rather n...

Re: Still dealing with Sinus Congestion
What humidity setting are you using?
Does a hot steamy shower help relieve the congestion some or make it worse?

Re: BiPap - Severe bloating no matter what I do
In your effort to include so many graphs you have made them so tiny they really aren't useful. See this thread http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t158560/How-to-post-images-for-review.html for examples in what to try to include. We don't need or want all those graphs. Are these your settings? EPAP mi...

Re: Cpap data
Generally speaking when someone just HAS to meets certain cpap usage requirements to keep their job... it is because someone works in an industry where public safety is a critical factor. Over the road trucking is one....airline pilot is another...and maybe some other indurstry that doesn't come to ...

Re: Events per hour has increased
Well....you don't have complex sleep apnea as except for a one maybe central apnea....all your flagged events are SWJ (sleep/wake/junk) meaning you weren't asleep when they were flagged. LOTS and LOTS of evidence of arousal/awake breathing going on. I have my doubts as to whether or not you need tha...
