Re: Looking for TENS Unit Recommendations
I have the Ultima 5 Digital TENS Unit. It's great - at least for me. Not expensive.

OT - Don't know how concerned I should be
I will try to make a long story short - I have been having neck issues for quite some time (pain, stiff, limited range of motion, tingling and numbness in extremities). Had an epidural in March which helped some, but in June I developed a new tingle and pain was returning so I was scheduled for a se...

Re: Poll: Have Any of You Been Caught Changing Your Pressure?
I was sent to a new dr for a sleep study. I told him that I had adjusted my pressure several times until I found a range that seemed to give me better numbers. He basically said he didn't have a problem - I knew the readings I was getting and how I felt. Results of the study showed him I was dead on...

ResScan Software
I had to perform a complete system recovery, so I lost my resScan program. I would really like to download the latest version. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

one of my best - if not the best AHI in 6 years
Yippee! 0.2! Still waiting on that ever elusive 0.0, but I'll take a 0.2 and be happy! I rarely go above 2.0, and for close to the last year am usually between 0.8 and 1.6.

Re: Medical alert bracelet
To display my medical needs and med's, I'd need two stone tablets, I'd look like Moses coming down the mountain. Jim That's what is so cool about the RoadID, all the info is in your profile (or, as much as you enter). All they have to do is call the number on the bracelet, give the serial number an...

Re: Medical alert bracelet
I have a RoadID bracelet with a medical alert tag. The RoadID bracelets (and other items) have a phone number and website that EMT's (or others) can call or go to. Enter or tell them the serial number and PIN on the back and any and ALL information you provide is available. Conditions, medications, ...

Re: No Stage 3 Sleep
When I had my 1st sleep study in 2008 I had ZERO stage 3 and ZERO REM. I don't remember how much 3 or REM I got during titration, but it was more than 0. My second study (a little over a year ago) was with my PAP, and while not ideal levels of 3 and REM, it was enough that sleep dr was satisfied. I ...

Re: Help me choose a new mask
I have been on PAP since late 2008, and like most folks here I have tried a variety of masks. The ONLY ones that have worked for me are nasal pillows. Yes, I have to use a chin strap - but with the results I get, I ain't conna complain! My leaks must not be bad because every morning when I check my ...

Re: Well Septoplasty/Turbinate reduction
My ENT, who ordered my sleep study, performed the surgery after study, but before titration. Surgery was a breeze - and helped immensely. I have had only one sinus infection since (surgery was in 2008), and I used to have 2-3 a year. Fewer cases of upper respiratory infections too (less stuff draini...

Re: Keep Those Humidifiers Clean – Interesting Study
After several years of PAP use I have become a bit complacent with regard to cleaning my mask, hose, and tank. Maybe every 2-3 months and I was fine - Until recently. I was prepping my PAP to go on a trip and when I went to dump the water from the tank what I saw was GROSS! Boy howdy did I then give...

Re: replacment supplies
Longer I participate here the more I like my insurance company. New mask every quarter, new filters every month, extra humidifier tank once per year, two hoses per year and new machine every three years unless doctor prescribes a change then they buy the new machine witbout complaint. 3rd trip of h...

Re: OSA and Sugar - Oh My!!!
I won't say my diet is perfect - by ANY stretch of the imagination, but it is also not horrific. While I love carbs (don't we all), I have learned that white rice IS my worst enemy. I avoid it, but sometimes I allow myself a "treat" and have it. I don't eat much bread or pasta, but when I do it is w...
