Re: OT: Tricare cost to skyrocket out of reach???

I get part of this thread - movement of warm moist air is indeed important for all political stripes. But what exactly has this to do with sleep apnea?

Re: Not adjusting to Cpap

Hi Bigtex, Have you tried using the mask for 5 - 10 mins during the day without the objective of going to sleep. Just to try and get a little more used to it and see if you can spot any leaks or any adjustments you could make. Take little steps at first until you develop confidence in the therapy an...

Hi HoustonRealtor, I have been on APAP just over three years and have only used the Resmed Activa mask. The local supplier said I should get a new one every year - stands to reason, they sell them. At this time my headgear is really the worse for wear which I expect will be the first part to give ou...

Hi LindaCPAP, You should be greatful that your cardiologist says your heart is fine, especially after testing. You should also keep a watchful eye on this condition in the future. I had congestive heart failure and had to have the aortic valve replaced and later on a pacemaker implanted due to other...

Hi Goofproof, Seems to me you really should give this more realistic thought. A philosophy like that could have a serious impact on undiagnosed apniacs and lead to some rather unusual diagnoses by certain ever vigilant sleep specialists. Thinking you would like to "just wake up dead one morning" may...

Hi churchmt, Slinky & Wulfman have offered some good tips. You really need to thoroughly check out your equipment as best you can to make sure it's working properly and the pressure is correct. If it is, then maybe something else is wrong. I'm in a similar situation as you in that have also been on ...

Hi GoofyUT, Are you sure you're in the right forum? I'm a bit of an oldster but the last time I sucked HOSE was when I stole gas from my brother's car. Now, it seems, HOSES are passe. Just wear a MASK and get all the gas (AKA air) from you're all night station - filtered and all. Cheers! Bob F

Calm down you people! This is, as you all well know, also a hugely successful forum. Seems every time we get a little glitch people start to panic. Stop with the crazies please. No need to to have a pissy fit each time you wake up. The world as you know it is still here. Take a deep breath without t...

Darn, You get caught up in other stuff and and you miss all the fun here. I wish you guys would alert me when all the action and drama starts to unfold. Of particular interest is the name calling and the use of colorful phrases to describe other people and their actions. This is helpful to remind me...

Hi joepro7, The most important thing is your long term health and well being. You should not rush into anything at this stage. Wait until you do get your results and get as much clarification as you can from the sleep specialist and family doctor. Do as much research as you can and use this forum to...
