Re: Did CPAP lower your Blood Pressure?

Absolutely! My pressure ran 180 to 210 systolic before the CPAP..after 9 years it came down graadually ..its now 130/72 Takes time, patience and do start all the good things. Exercise, correct diet and you will get there. The best med I have tried is Norvasc . a side effect is ankles swelling but by...

Re: Are you asking people to repeat themselves??Hearing

I have pulled up a posting I posted in Jul of 2009. I only had 3 replies to that but this is a problem we need clarified. Yes I went to an ENT who found no problem. I had hearing checked before seeing the Dr. and was told I indeed needed hearing aids. I explained to my ENT re the CPAP possibly being...

Battery pack vs generator

Goofproof..I have sent you a couple PM but don't think they made it out of the outbox. I need your expertise re the backup options. Since the power outages are about to increase, I really need to be ready for the storms. You appear to have the same setup I have and I might say the same length of tim...

Re: 12 years on cpap and it's time to move on.

Corky..Thanks for taking the plunge..I have been following the research for years. Been on the CPAP for 6 years. I have documented on this site several time that we are living in the "horse and buggy days" with the current setup. You may just have opened up the way.. DO keep us informed.

What would you do? cpap needed by friends!

I have a couple friends who have apnea (husband and wife) and in need of a machine but cannot afford one. Does anyone know of an avenue to follow to obtain one. I have been on one for 6 years and know the importance of using one NOW and not wait until heart, stroke or other chronic illnesses start. N...

Re: Cold: Nasal Stuffiness for 9 Days Now!!!

I've had a cold since last Thursday. I've had nasal congestion for the whole time. I use Dristan 12 hour nasal spray, but I can't anymore because it's not suggested to use it more than 3 days. I went to the doctor a few days ago, and I got a steroid shot to help reduce inflammation, but it didn't w...

Re: Laser surgery

I have been reading about LAUP. (tightening of the loose tissue in the palate) Wouldn't it be nice to be able to lay the mask aside. I keep hoping there will be a chose. I'm doing fine after 5 yrs. I was talking to a person over the weekend who did well with it, but I am sceptical.
