Re: taking xanax with apnea:please answer
I have a prescription for Xanax which I need occasionally (a 30 day supply lasts me 2 years!). It doesn't seem to interfere with my CPAP therapy.

Re: Homemade Hose Stand by Craig
We bought a beautiful new wooden bed and I suggested that I was going to drill a hole in the tall headboard and put a big screw hook in it. I think it was the next night that I woke up with the hose wrapped around my neck. My wife still claims it was because I was rolling over and she had nothing to...

Re: Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
Babette, I think the problem was more than just the headgear. I also have this habbit of half-burying my face in my pillow. Without the cheek straps of the Swift I don't think nasal pillows would work for me. I recall having everything from my old HeadRest sliding all over the place. The friend I ga...

Re: How long do you use your mask before replacing the seal ?
Hi guys (and gals). I've been great! For some info on what I've been up to read this post: viewtopic/p351070/viewtopic.php?p=351031#p351031
Needless to say the B&B is CPAP friendly, with pillows and bedding that works well (for me, anyway).

Re: Miata driving cpapers
Nah, I've upgraded to an S2000. Bigger trunk and better interior. My wife and I went away for a week in it with all we needed including my CPAP without removing the spare tire! We couldn't have done that with the Miata.
I daily drive it through the week then do timed competitions on the weekend.

Re: Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
O, I wonder why the rubber is turning to mush on my hose?
I guess if I use legs from tights and leave them long they'd look like floppy bunny ears? Too bad the kids are too old to amuse that way anymore (21 and 18).

Re: Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
I USED to be the same way. I would really tear up a bed. But since my CPAP and this new mask...I really don't move once I go to sleep. PS BILL? My cousins name was Donald Flowers. He lived in Chino, CA. Father was Harold Flowers. I just go from left side to back to right side to ... All my traceabl...

Re: After a long respite, I thought I would say hello
I thought retirement (aka career change) might be coming soon after my company sold 2 years ago, but every time I begin to think that something happens. Now I'm just hoping that some year (not this year) I can semi-retire to the point where I can spend a significant portion of the summer at the B&B ...

Re: Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
I roll around so much that a "No Mask" couldn't possibly stay in place. I once had the hose completely wrapped around my neck! Or maybe it was my wife trying to "off" me? Nah, couldn't be.

Re: Did you start cpap well but then felt benefits slide away ?
I started in the summer of '05 (search for posts by WAFlowers). I immediately felt the benefits and still do. Except for a few nights over the years (few enough to count on the fingers of one hand I believe) when I was so congested with a cold that nasal CPAP wouldn't do anything I've used it every ...

Re: Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
Recently I've hated to spend money because I didn't know of the USCIS (formerly INS) was going to let me stay in this country after March 12. If not, I would need the cash for moving my family back to Canada. Now that that is cleared up for a bit, and the equipment has degraded to the point where I ...

Re: How long do you use your mask before replacing the seal ?
It's been almost 3 years and if my headgear didn't fall apart the other night I probably wouldn't be thinking about replacing anything.

Is it time to get a new mask? Maybe a new hose too?
Once upon a time, a long time ago, I was a very prolific poster on this forum under the username WAFlowers. (Search for it and you'll see what I mean.) But life got busy once I started CPAP and had the energy to live again and I've been gone from here almost 3 years! Anyway, in all that time I've be...

Also wondered about Liam (who just recently showed up again), WillSucceed and WAFlowers. After a long absence I returned. Couldn't reuse the same userid though because that email address went away and the password was locked out by the change in this board. But I'm still alive, well, compliant and ...
