Re: Does ankle/leg swelling o away quickly?
Pat S. while some on the forum have mentioned other causes. As you did not tell us about your pressures and treatment. I wonder if the problem is that you are on one of those Auto Titrations where the machine is set wide open. 4 to 20 or some such thing?? Never use compression stockings while sleepi...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Inflammation??
Sometimes I think normal means the doctor does not have a good treatment for that issue. so the results are, a lot of others have that.

Re: FitLife total face mask
I want the FitLife to have a silicon seal like the one on the Hans Rudolph V2. The V2 needs a solid back so I can put it on and off without adjusting it each time. As well the V2 needs snap release straps, plus a hose snap out so I do not need to take the mask off to get up at night. I also want the...

Sonnet, about the insurance company and you. Now we all know why doctors hate insurance companies. They make unreasonable rules that one can only argue with them about within their own system.

Re: fingers tingling
I go along with the possibilities that David Carolina posted, and the comment about Diabetes. However, unless you are better off financially than me, I would first speak with your primary sleep doc and consider several possibilities. First, does your sleep doc think you were properly titrated or was...

Re: New here
Leaks can help to cause dry mouth. That is, a leak, air comes out mouth.
for some of us. Dry mouth is related to stomach acid. Do you have GERD by any chance, it is often a co problem with sleep apnea.
I also had dry mouth before starting treatment.

Have you tried a cervical neck brace? I am guessing Pugsy can tell us who can not use such a thing.

Re: Sleep on left side too???
Doc said something about sleeping on the right put pressure on the Vena Cava, whereas on the left, the aorta can not be closed off. The why of all that is beyond me. However: All this came about because for ten months I had severe tendonitis in my right arm, so I had to sleep on my left. After ten m...

Sleep on left side too???
I now see that for a pregnant woman, it is better to sleep on ones left side for blood circulation. So the left side would be more preferable than the right side. Any comments.
I started to label this post as, "You women have been holding out on us......" But who is surprised about that.

Re: Partially off topic: electricty and power surges
Likely Palerider is correct that the power bricks are not quite right. Power Supplies in any computer tend to go bad after two years or so, capacitors get old. Although we humans run for a long while after that, we tend to see flaky performance. It manifests when you have something to do with the ma...

Re: Life of a CPAP machine
RT told me that these machines, if they blow, they are working. That is, they tend to fail catastrophically, not by degrees. If you have a setting of 17 and it is blowing 12, that sounds like it has a ramp or bi level setting. If not, then the insurance should replace the machine. I guess you have g...

Re: OT:Defective frog--Surgery on 5/8/15
Sorry if I tell you something you already know. When I had open heart surgery my GP told me that it is easier to keep pain under control rather then get it under control. She said to take pain meds exactly when they were due, and not wait for pain to start again. Which would have been easier to do i...
