Re: Are there physical retail stores that sell CPAP supplies?

As Scott points out, there are many prices at a local DME. The price they usually list is sometimes the MSRP, sometimes far more, as they hope someone is dumb enough to pay it. People without insurance coverage can attempt to negotiate, but these scum-suckers know desperate--and make it profitable....

Re: Should Trump Drop Out

It's a sad day for America when a racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, narcissistic, bombastic buffoon is elected President.

Re: Should Trump Drop Out

Trump is garbage. He should definitely withdraw. I trust Clinton infinitely more than I trust Trump.

Re: Non-Grounded Outlets

The S-9 power supply is double insulated and thus does not require a grounded outlet.

I loop a strip of cloth through the back strap and tie it loosely under my chin. Works fine.

Re: Is Ambien dangerous if you have OSA?

Another issue with Ambien ... Medicare only allows 90 tabs per year for those of us over 65. When I could get it I just paid out of pocket and it was worth every penny. I'm hoping that a VA doc might be less squeamish about prescribing it if Medicare isn't an influence.

Re: Cleaning habits

Clean the nasal pillows and change the filter about once a month. Clean the short hose maybe once a year. Never clean the long hose. I would clean more often if I got sick.

Re: Is Ambien dangerous if you have OSA?

I used zolpidem nightly for years. It wasn't much of a problem weaning off of it. I just missed, and still miss, the sleep. I've been given nortriptyline and trazodone, both antidepressants, but neither work worth a damn. And my AHI is higher than when on the zolpidem. Sucks

Re: gabapentin and sleep apnea

My sleep doc (also a board certified neurologist) gave me gabapentin for restless legs. I've been using it since Feb. 2009 with no problems.

I shake my head over these threads where the intellectually infantile conservatives babble. And we're going to see more and more of this as the election cycle heats up.

Re: Is Ambien dangerous if you have OSA?

My previous Dr. prescribed Ambien for years, but I've seen two MDs since we moved to Colorado and neither one will even consider it. I'm thinking there must be some new guidelines for prescribing Ambien. They seem to be really worried about people over 65 falling and hurting themselves. CYA, no doubt.

OT: Medicare Advantage in Pueblo, CO?

We will be moving to the Pueblo, CO, area in a few weeks. Does anyone have any recommendation for Medicare Advantage plans in that area?

Thanks
