MY first night with the Hybrid was a dismal failure. IT is about a 1/4 in. shy of a good fit at the pillows. It leaked so bad that it lasted 6 minutes. It is just slightly too short for me and no matter how I pound my head I can't shrink it. MY sleep mate turned to me and said, "Wow, you sure got a ...

Fair enough Lori. I'm joining you in the mask in the drawer club. This mask leaked so bad at the pillows that 'I had to remove it after 6 minutes. NOTHING TO BE DONE without either stretching the mask a 1/4 of an inch or shrinking my face. Face not shrinkable. I'm using the large mouth and large pil...

Ric: Welcome to the party. If you have a FFM mouth breathing should not be an issue, that is what FFM's are for. As far as the cheeks blowing up, I assume that happens on the transition between inhale and exhale when the pressure shifts? Many times air leaks into your mouth and you get puffing or ch...

Got mine today, Thursday. Did a fitting I am using the large mouth piece and large pillows. The clips on the straps are dumb, why did they scrimp there? I have tightened it down to stop leaks and during my daytime test/adjustment I leak a bit at the pillows. IF I could push them forward somehow they...

Mike: THanks for the update and lab rating. I just got mine today and the large fits me in both areas but I am leaking slightly at the pillows and yes this sucker is tight. I will try it tonight and see what kind of leak rate I get. THose clips are downright dumb. I am going to reserve judgement unt...

I'vre had that problem. I think if you mouth leak that is a prelude to mouth breathing. After all once you expel air you are just as apt to take it in. Many times I awaken to air escaping from mymouth. I am not conscious of breathing in thru my mouth, just air leaking from it. I have tried a chin st...

Gear Head points out what happened to my UMFF. THe connector had got dislodged where it seats at the mask.

I must have been swinging on the hose in my sleep. It created a huge leak.

I had to disassemble the mask to get it to seat properly.

Let us know if that's what's up.

Best,

Tom

Make sure there is no leak where the humidifier seats in the machine.

Have you had this leak every night?

YOur data looks great except for that leak. The leak makes we question the data, do you get the same kind of numbers on a night without the leak? I see you have a UMFF mask. I recently had a similar experience with mine. One of the Luhr nuts on the front fell off and was a leak source. Make sure tho...

I ordered mine Mon 7/3. I am currently using the Activa, works great except I wake myself up with occasional mouth breathing - which is why I'm "betting $172. on the Hybrid). I also have UMFF that leaks into my eyes - unuseable and hot. I tried my HH in the pass-over mode and woke up with dry mouth ...

I wouldn't suggest the heated hose, the warm air will make your face perspire. When winter ended I was still using my heated hose and HH at 4 and I started waking up thinking I was in the Amazon rain forest. IT was hot and humid. I gradually backed everything off and now only use the HH at 1, with n...

Unless someone has been locked inside a mind that has experienced Severe Depression there is no way for them to relate to it. It comes like a wave that engulfs you and all the light goes out. You are surrounded by darkness. It's like the darkside takes over and you cannot see or even remember the li...

I have read posts from guests who have been positive and guests who are just antagonists and time wasters/spammers. I suspect, as others have mentioned, that if guests were restricted to read only they could get familiar enough with the forum to decide if they wanted to post and then they could regi...
