Thanks, I reached the same conclusion re: insurance. I have HMO which is a little less flexible. I am not even sure how to approach it but I may give it try. I don't think the docs will go to bat for me, they seem to think everything is fine. Since I have the script I will wait awhile. I am interest...

Tossin' anna turnin', rockin' and a rollin'? That's how I sleep, always have. I am a hard core side sleeper, I have never fallen deeply asleep on my back, not even during sleep studies (a big complaint with my last study). I do not see this permitting that sleep style. It seems like a really great i...

Which size pillow? I have found the larger the better. Smaller goes into the nose and hurts like hell! Looser is better too. Go real loose and then tighten to where the leaks are gone or not problematical.

This have been my experience YMMV.

Doctor Visit Story – Long with ?s

I saw the Sleep folks yesterday. My clinic is associated with a teaching hospital so I have been interviewed by three different residents/fellows and a regular RT so far. My visit is always closed with brief consultation with the Honcho. It has been an interesting experience. I had been concerned ab...

I have to say about my Swift that I have acting like a mask junkie with 2 new interfaces since they gave me the Swift but can not really complain about it whatsoever. I toss and turn, sleep every whichaway and it seems to stay sealed. If I have any leak problems it is always early on before going to...

I have a beard and I tape. It works OK for me. I do not have a very heavy beard and I keep it short but I find enough facial real estate to get tape to adhere. Taking it off is not too bad if I have the RG Tabs and I go slow. It has made my therapy more effective. Chinstraps weren't cutting it. Tigh...

Sleep Daddy,

I think one interface is a pillow interface and the other more of a prong interface. Swift v. Nasal Aire but I'm only guessing. That is what it looks like.

Peace brother! I think that is a good approach and pretty much the attitude I am taking towards it. Unfortunately I have an older machine that does not provide me any of the data I might want to look at but I have the software and reader in case I get my hands on one. There was a link to the Respiro...

I have always understood the requirement for distilled water (not sterile) to be in order to prevent scaling from hard water not for any disease prevention purposes.

We can't do any better, at least now. Since no one else has piped up with anyting better at this point it appears this is the best we can do. So far we have "showed" you all we have. At least for now, it is enough for the folks that are doing it. If it is not enough for you then that is how it is. A...

I am occasional Headrest user (still waiting on Aussie hose to help with the amazing rainout problem) and I find that all I have to do to remove my glasses is pull the bottom part of the interface away enough to pull them off. It reseals easily enough. It is somewhat more difficult to put them on wi...

Yah, mine, at least for the first 1/2 hour. Darn! This is a strange game. You think you have your interface nailed and then the gremlins show up. Normally it has worked with one particular barrel rotation but last night, for some inexplicable reason, the barrel insisted on being almost 45 degrees th...
