Re: CPAP to APAP?

I just tried my first night on APAP, and I wasn't sure what I'd find. First, I've only been 4 days on my new ResMed S8 AutoSet II. My previous machine was an F&P HC234, which I was very pleased with ... except for lack of data. My initial impressions of the ResMed were mixed. Even though it's suppos...

Re: What to buy to get ResMed S8 readouts?

I ordered mine from cpapaustralia.com ... I did not have to call or email, the order went through fine for me. Came to about $119 in aussie dollars w/ shipping, about $96 US. I think some may have had to call because credit card companies had a problem with the international charge. Luckily, mine we...

Re: CPAP to APAP?

Well, I got my ResScan software from Australia and started playing around with it. Quick question to those that use the software. I downloaded the first couple of days of use of my S8 AutoSet II machine, and I noticed that it only had the summary data ... no detailed data was available. Would that b...

Re: POLL-How much do you use your humidifier????

I've only been without my humidifier once or twice, when I didn't have a good source of water. Otherwise, I can't live without it.

Re: CPAP to APAP?

Just received my new ResMed AutoSet II. Now I'm just waiting on the software from Australia. I have to say how awesome cpap.com is. One, the community is fantastic for gaining and sharing knowledge. Two, the website is so thorough, with extremely competitive pricing (I would have easily paid less bu...

Re: Sleepiness and Reading a Computer Screen

I started the supplement because I knew that I needed something since I was fair skin and blue eyes, and needed to have as much UV protection as possible. I know the supplement has Lutein, but I'll try to find out more information for you. But I definitely noticed a difference in my eye strain / tir...

Re: No longer needing cpap

I hate it when I think I can take a nap without my machine ... big mistake when I wake up. When I get my new S8 AutoSet II, I'm thinking about letting the wife try it for a night to see what her data looks like. After knowing the difference it made for me, I think a sleep study should be part of the...

Re: Sleepiness and Reading a Computer Screen

I'd follow the advice so far here and get your therapy effectiveness checked out. But if it turns out that it's simply an issue of your eyes getting tired from the computer screen, I can tell you that I have experienced something similar. For some reason the computer screen can really tire my eyes o...

Re: It's been 5 days since I got my CPAP

The fleece hose covers definitely helped. Cured my rainout over the winter. Of course the humidifier setting can be adjusted lower too. I had the same top of nose issue when I started, but after a couple of weeks of fine tuning (and my nose getting used to it) there was no real issue. But it was fru...

Re: has anyone found a mask that doesn't leak?

I definitely found the F&P FlexiFit masks the most comfortable, with the ability to move around without creating leaks. I used to use the HC407, but switched to the "Zest" model last year, and love it. It's very small, which helped stop the leaks. The 407 did give me a few problems with leaks, causi...

Re: CPAP to APAP?

Thanks for all the feedback! I went for the AutoSet II mainly so I could analyze the results of the auto mode ... just like was mentioned here ... to see if/when my pressure needs change. I have no issues with my current machine (HC234), so I'll be using it as a backup too. My original objective was...

Re: CPAP to APAP?

Thanks for the reply. Last year, I added a snuggle hose cover to my hose, and that really helped in the winter to stop the rainout. I just ordered the S8 Auto Set II w/ humidifier. I also ordered the software from cpapaustralia. Does you version of the S8 have a mask setting? And if so, what do you ...

Re: CPAP to APAP?

I wish that the F&P's had data capabilities. I'll probably go with the AutoSet, just becuase the I have the use the flex spending money or I lose it anyway.
