Re: ResMed Airsense 10 battery for sale.
Retested. Lots of weight loss and changes to my sleep patterns. (You and I joined this board in Feb 2006!)

ResMed Airsense 10 battery for sale.
2 years ago I bought a Medistrom "Pilot-24 Lite" rechargeable battery (24-volts DC) for my ResMed airsense autopap. The battery was very expensive, and serves as either a power source (camping, boating) or as an uninterruptible power supply. My apnea has gone away (yay!) and the ResMed APAP is in a ...

My OSA seems gone. Time will tell....
First sleep study and diagnosis in 2006, but I clearly had OSA for 15-20 years before that. I was lucky to find CPAP easy to use, and have worn a mask every night for almost 18 years. Second sleep study in 2013 showed fewer disturbances and the clinic results called for a lower pressure. My CPAP was...

Re: Airsense 10 is 8 years old, keep using it?
Mine is about that age, and recently started displaying a warning when I turn it off in the morning. Something about exceeding the normal life of the motor. Never saw it but when I didn't have my reading glasses on, so I'm not sure of the wording....

Re: CPAP Travel Tips?
My CPAP bag, made by the manufacturer, needs no external tag. No airline employee has ever challenged it or asked me to open it.
I don't put it inside a larger carry-on bag. I fear the dreaded mandatory baggage check on the airbridge when boarding a full plane. Has happened to me several times....

Re: CPAP Battery for Flight and More
I just bought a Medistrom Pilot 24 Lite. (My CPAP uses 24V DC).
Very expensive, works great. Will take aboard future flights.

Re: CPAP Travel Tips?
A light weight electrical extension cord - never know when traveling where the power will be in relation to the bed. If International, a plug adapter, and verify the CPAP machine is 110/220 - most are. My best travel experience - I forgot my machine in the overhead once and deplaned. Airline employe...

Re: Flying - using oral appliance in the air 'cuz CPAP verboten
Thanks for the reminder - if I do use a snore preventer, I will. But just this morning United Airlines Accessibility Desk told me that I may use my machine in flight!

Flying - using oral appliance in the air 'cuz CPAP verboten
Long trips coming up. I can fall asleep just LOOKING at an airplane - no way I can stay awake while flying. Airlines won't let pax use CPAPs because COVID. Without my CPAP I snore so bad the other flyers will throw me out a window. Also, falling asleep and then waking myself up every 10 minutes is t...

Re: Latest airline rules for CPAP use aloft?
Strange. This United Airlines website doesn't mention Covid or masks.

I probably need to buy a portable, battery-operated machine because there's likely no power available under the seats.

Latest airline rules for CPAP use aloft?
Hard to believe it's been over 5 years since I last flew! Now have a summer trip planned. International on United. Anybody know what the airline rules are these days for using a CPAP in flight?

The developer (inventor?) of the pillow reached out to me. He now sells directly from FitMePillow.com
