Well, my machine has been pretty reliable. Not a single problem in the almost three years I've used it. That being said, I agree with you and will start researching a replacement. Thanks!!

Expected life of M-Series Auto machine ?
Hello, Just curious if anybody knew the expected life of a machine like mine. It is an M-Series Auto CPAP machine with A-flex. It doesn't have any problems and has worked absolutely flawless since I got it. I now have 6,300 hours of therapy time on it and 6,340 total hours. Just wanted to see what o...

Re: Why are we here? Are we self centered? Is it all about me?
bump. Are you trying to be annoying? If so, you are succeeding! I don't think lars4life was trying to be annoying. People "bump" threads all the time so other people can see it easily and provide their feedback on a topic that is of interest. I find this thread very interesting, as I too have been ...

I'm pretty sure that my cowbell could beat your light saber(With the exception of Vaders light saber). The power of the cowbell...too great it is Let's all just get along and learn so that we can help each other with the REAL issues here. I haven't been on here in a while, but I'm back. Re: CPAP Cuts Lung Complications After Heart Surgery
I will comment on my own personal experience here. I had open heart surgery and had lung complications afterward, mostly due to being on and off the heart/lung bypass machine during the surgery itself. I had a collapsed lung afterward. For three days after the surgery, the hospital didn't want me to...

Chinstrap alone can prevent OSA????????
Just thought I'd post this article I found on my newspapers website. Looks more like a sales pitch for this companies' chinstrap than an actual news-worthy article. I posted the link to the actual article at the bottom. Tracy Family Are You Snoring Yourself To Death? (ARA) - Do you wake up after 8 h...

Re: OT recommend a cameraand place to buy?
From my experience, the Canon's are pretty tough to beat. I've had several different brands of cameras including Kodak's and Casios. The Canon has the best lense and picture quality of all of them in my opinion. I now have the digital Elf and absolutely love it. Has lots of features, good battery li...

Re: Upgrade time! Resmed S-8 or Resp M
I have never used the Resmed machine and am using the Repsironics M-Series Auto with A-flex and find it is a great little machine and VERY quiet. I love the fact that it has A-flex AND C-flex and you can use either one of them or none of them. I think it gives you the best options. I use the A-flex ...

Incisionless procedure for GERD
Just thought I'd post this link since I know a lot of us with sleep apnea also suffer from GERD or chronic heartburn. Looks promising.

Re: F&P Forma Mask Feedback
I've had this mask for a couple of weeks now. My DME said it is the the redsigned version of the flexi-fit 432. I have tried to use it, but cannot get it to stop leaking. I either have to have it cinched down so tight it hurts my face, or it leaks everywhere. My mask came with the Medium and the Lar...

Re: Blinking blue light on M-series heated humidifier??
I just got the same machine about six months ago and with the humidifier AND the mask the total cost was only $1200 dollars or so, and that was through Apria. You're DME is definitely gouging you. About the blinking light, there are a number of post on here about this problem if you do a search for ...

ANOTHER changing your own pressure thread ;)
I'm sure this has been posted before, but below I posted a link to a website I found that has all the info on how to get into the clinician setup menu for most of the xPAP machines out there. At the bottom of the page, they even have most of the complete manuals on PDF that can be downloaded. I LOVE...

Re: Mositure in my tube
What you have is called "rainout" and there are a number of things you can do to stop this. I've found if the room is too cold, I will definitely get condensation build-up, especially if I have the humidifier turned up too high. There are other ways to stop it too if you like a cold room, namely a h...

Re: IntelliPAP Auto 19, M Series Auto A-Flex 11
Oh yeah, I'm definitely NOT going to quit using my A-flex for a while Babette, lol. I do realize that everyone is different and it is more of a matter of personal preference than anything else. I might get to the point where I don't need the exhale relief either. Who knows. It doesn't seem to be aff...

Re: IntelliPAP Auto 19, M Series Auto A-Flex 11
How can you not tell that the machine doesn't have exhale relief? I use the M-Series Auto with Aflex set to 2 and there is a dramatic idfference between breathing in and breathing out. The pressure drops to almost nothing on exhale and then goes back to full pressure on inhale. Maybe its just the fa...
