Re: choking/gasping for air
Mike, i'm no rocket scientist, but when i read that you're congested and you wake up feeling like you're not getting enough air, well... uncle gary has a couple of thoughts/suggestions: 1) take a decongestant - careful of the sprays as they have a rebound effect, though i do think when they work, th...

Switched from CPAP to APAP, suggestions, please
Hi All, I was running at CPAP 14 for the most part of 3 weeks, EPR of 3 (so exhalation at 11) - when i awake in the middle of the night it feels like no pressure (i.e. i'm fine with it) got my rescan software, so decided to play. Set APAP, lower of i think 9, and upper of 15 - my AHI, AI, and is it ...

Re: crud in my humidifier tank
I just got my new H4i, and for probably the first time I my life I read the instructions. Resmed don't specify distilled water all - there is only a statement that if you use tapwater you will need to clean the tank regularly k not to make too big a deal out of it, but i also have the 4i and my rec...

Re: Should CPAPtalk Filter Or Allow The Dental Device PR Spam?
maybe a solution would be to create a link and call it either possible spam, or whatever - put the post in there, and folks who want to see it can, and it could also show up on searching, like for osa dental appliance or whatever, but at the same time it won't be in our faces - that would be potenti...

Um, could you repeat that? (i'm such a wiseguy)
seriously, i do wonder what pressure in the ear canal does nightly - can't be good - though would be funny if it dries out the canal, reduces bacteria, etc. - though probably not...

UPDATE: I did a little searching - so the 12v dc adapter is roughly $80. and that means no heated humidifier (i imagine the humi...
