Re: Nasal Rinsing and Waterpik (not nose pick!)

thanks bob - i would have bought that connector in a heartbeat! i'm awaiting my rhinotip, and i'm considering returning my waterpik - they give a 14 day full refund if you don't love the thing - i wanted it for the nose, but the neilmed kit seems to accomplish that (though i'm starting to like it le...

Re: Nasal Rinsing and Waterpik (not nose pick!)

2nd day, 2nd rinse - still have to get used to the feeling - like going underwater. my sinuses feel clearer, or at least i think they do - it can also be the absence of forcing water up my nose that feels better. i read the neilmed literature - turns out the sinus rinse is what they recommend - they...

Re: CPAP Hose Hanger

i picked up rolls of velcro from HD for a similar price - it was a peg-board package that had black and tan - each is a roughly 6 inch strap that is connected to the next one - just tear the thing off, and there is a little "eye" you pop out, then the strap can loop around wire or similar, through i...

Re: Nasal Rinsing and Waterpik (not nose pick!)

this afternoon i stopped at CVS and they had both the neilmed neti pot "kit" and the nasal rinse kit - i was torn, but ultimately decided on the rinse. i gave it a shot this afternoon - really wierd. nothing like enjoying the feeling of drowing in the pool from the comfort of my bathroom! seriously,...

Re: Nasal Rinsing and Waterpik (not nose pick!)

Thanks Gail; much appreciated. After some web searching, i discovered the Rhinotip (which i saw this before i destroyed the sinupulse) - it appears to be a tip that will fit on virtually any jet - versus the sinupulse which is an entire wand that won't fit into my waterpik's base your neilmed is onl...

Nasal Rinsing and Waterpik (not nose pick!)

Hi All, I just got my handy dandy Waterpik WP-100 (about $55 on amazon) and a sinupulse elite tip (i believe formerly grossan's) - i had read that the tip does not directly interface with this particular waterpik, but can be made to do so. I wanted this model of waterpik as i believed it had a lot o...

Re: Battery and ResMed revisited

for whatever it's worth, i ended up buying a pure sine wave generator on ebay last night - i am hesitant to hook the s8 directly to the 12v even with a reverse tip, though i think it would be alright. i may disconnect the humidifer altogether and then try modified sign wave from my supply, and then ...

Re: Battery and ResMed revisited

Be forewarned, If you have Resmed.s, they are power picky , That 's why the Resmed power cord costs more than other brands... Plan wisely. Doorstops are costly. Jim Jim, valid point - until i read the resmed white paper earlier today, i thought i could not use modified sine wave because of the moto...

Re: Battery and ResMed revisited

Violet - good luck - though you can use a "bare" battery and hook wires to the terminals, for what you want (presumably in your bedroom) i'd spend the roughly $40 or so on some sort of DC pack - and then plug into it - you don't want bare terminals hanging around your bedroom - maybe okay for the ga...

Re: Battery and ResMed revisited

Violet - i have now 3 "12 volt dc" doohickeys at home - one was for my computerized telescope, then i bought a bigger one that also has car jumper cables, and now finally "the behemoth" i picked up last night (no booster cables, but yes to a radio, flashlight, etc.) the gist is you essentially have ...

Battery and ResMed revisited

Hi Gang, I just picked up a steal of a battery supply at SamsClub.com (no appropriate link on-line) - it was $45, included a dc jack, 2 ac outlets (modified sine wave) and some other goodies. very bulky, it says good for camping - i woudln't want to carry it around -- but i do want it around for whe...

ResScan - how do you get the shark tooth?

hi - i'm hoping this wasn't asked too many times before (i did search) - i can't see a breath by breath analysis even after downloading detailed data (i know, only a 4 day detailed memory) - when i expand the graphs to just show my range, and i bring it down to 10 seconds up to 5 minutes, i don't se...

Re: choking/gasping for air

Gary --- thanks for all that terrific advice. I definitely need to invest in a FF mask, if my insurance won't cover it for me. You lost me on the nasal pik stuff. i have a Niel Med NetiPot. Is that the same as the "nasal pik" you mentioned? Mike Hi Mike, if you think my advice is great you need mor...

Re: NOT YET ON CPAP

i'm still a newbie, but i do know it's all about attitude - keep an open mind, get past the initial discomfort, and get ready for a better night's sleep - even if you have a tube or a pair of panty hose around your head! (amazing what you can get used to when you're tired enough....)
GOOD LUCK!!!!!
