Re: Out of control

My pressure is between 12 and 17, usually in the 16 range. That nearly blows the mask off. I have ordered a new seal for my mask and am hoping that will fix the leaks. A couple of nights ago I had over 100 events.

Out of control

Here is my latest report. I don't know what the hell to do. I have been using cpap for almost 7 years and it has never been this bad.

AHI too high.

I have been on c-pap for almost 7 years. I never really managed to get my AHI below five and gave up checking stats every day. I am tired all the time and have been checking the #'s the last few days. My AHI was 8.6 today. I use the Resmed S9 with a FFM. pressure is set 12 - 18. It seems like II am ...

S9

I got a new machine today. It's the ResMed S9. Had a problem with the humidifier. Apparently they forgot to pack the gasket in, but they brought one and it is ready to go. My S8 crapped out about a week ago, so I am anxious to get back on the hose. Wish me luck.

Re: Quattro Air

I don't block the vent, just block the air from my arm which is bent up when my hands are under the pillow.
I don't keep track of numbers anymore. I was getting to crazy over it. I do get a slight leak under my bottom lip sometimes, but it is still better than my quattro.

Quattro Air

I got my new Quatto Air FFM yesterday and so far am pleased with it. The headgear is more comfortable and the mask isn't as big and clumsy on my face. The flexible forehead piece is softer. The only thing I didn't like was the air vents. The vents are around the hose connection and air was blowing o...

Re: Going to the doc, new machine?

I was about to ask the same question. My S8 is on the way out and insurance will pay for a new one in Oct. ( 5 yrs.). I am interested in the S9, but heard that the hose coming from the back is inconvenient.'d appreciate any feedback.

Re: CPAP and ear issue

I haven't been on this forum for a while, but came here looking for just this subject. For about 6 months I have had a fullness in my ear accompanied by occasional pain. I have seen an ENT who says nothing is wrong. I tried to tell him it was in the eustachian tube to no avail.I had a sneaky suspici...

Re: Wanted - Lab Rats...

I live on Cape Cod and our water is naturally salty. I have not had sinus trouble since I started with c-pap. I used to get terrible sinus infections and used nasal rinses etc. For the last 3 1/2 years I hardly even get a bad cold.

Re: CPAP Pad (gel pad)

I slept pretty good with it last night. It is nice not to wake up with the triangle on my face. It did leak a little, but not as much as before.

Re: CPAP Pad (gel pad)

That's how I feel. I really want it to work. I should send it back, it was a lot of $$ for me to spend, but I will try again tonight.

Re: CPAP Pad (gel pad)

I used mine for a while tonight. That is why I am awake now. I had to trim it so that it wasn't in my mouth, but it didn't help much. Every time I moved it crawled around and would leak. The cushioning felt good, but just wouldn't stay still.
