Re: Newbie would like to hear success stories, please.
Hi I've used mine for ~8 years. Before CPAP I'd need to take an afternoon nap at work, and on the commute home... no more I'm wide awake. I once parked my car in front of light post at McDonald's for a short commute nap. About every 10 minutes I'd wake at the wheel with a light post in front of me, ...

Re: Zyppah Dental Appliance

Sure you'd have to buy the O2 meter, but they are a lot less than a CPAP machine no. low o2 levels is only a part of the problem that sleep apnea causes, an...

Re: couldnt do it
I did not use mine when I first got it.
My trick was to get the software that registered the night's sleep. For a few weeks I could not wait to get the report.. and to get the report I needed to wear the mask
Might work for you
Now it's old hat

I've used my Respironics resmed series M since 2008
Back when this forum sponsor used to sell used units, I picked up 4 total (after getting frustrated with DME) . Two work fine, one smells of smoke, and the other is intermitant. Of the two that work fine, one is for home, the other for travel

Sorry to those I may have offended by minimizing the disease
Of course the response to treatment is different in different cases.

Re: Is Apnea forever?
...Still, OSA is a serious, chronic condition that typically deteriorates (without treatment). And for many of us---particularly those who were largely asymptomatic---the OSA diagnosis is our first real encounter with our own mortality. I don't mean to minimize the potential difficulties with Apnea...

Here is one guy who "cured' it http://www.mendosa.com/blog/?tag=sleep-apnea "You can conquer sleep apnea. I know you can because I conquered a most severe form of it. And I’ve now even given away both of my continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines, which is the standard treatment for over...
