Re: Nursing Home, Sister in Law needs help!
Her doctor has provided all information asked for. I really think the problem is that she has been over prescrobed and that Humana doesn't want to pay for that. I was just told that she will need to do a sleep test at a hospital since she is so immobile. Stuff just takes time when dealing with the u...

Re: Nursing Home, Sister in Law needs help!
Thanks, we are constantly on the phone with Humana and fighting the battle. I am just worried that it might take too long and am pursuing an alternative route because I am not going to let her die.

Nursing Home, Sister in Law needs help!
My sister in law is living in a nursing home. She is incapable of walking and is so obese that they use a lift to take her out of bed for a shower. Last year she was hospitalized for extremely low SPo2 levels. She spent a week in ICU on a Trilogy machine that allowed her to get much better. The hosp...

Re: How can I convince my dad to get tested for OSA
I worked as an operator in power plants. We worked rotating 8 hr shifts rotating weekly. I always thought I was tired because of my work. I retired in 2002 due to Myasthenia Gravis. Funny thing I never was able to get good sleep and I was still always tired. Finally in 2008 my doctor had me do an ov...

Re: Help with resmed s9 asv blower motor hours message
Ah. And does the s10 do the data the same way through as sd card etc? I have resmed installed and currently print my own compliance report for my cdl physical. I need to still have this option. For that matter... If I do switch machines... How does that work for compliance? Do you just print separa...

Yup, it works. Most DMEs send no name hoses instead of brand names.

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
I use it plugged into the 12V outlet that looks like a lighter receptacle on a GoalZero Yeti 400 power unit. I use it every night so that a power outage doesn't disturb me. My Ipap 95% is around 15. I use a heated hose and humidifier on auto. No problems at all for 8 months. I was wrong claiming ove...

Re: ?Problems with DC12V adapter for Aircurve 10
Is this: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed-dc-converter-airsense-aircurve-10-machines the adapter you are using? The AirCurve runs on 24V power and if the adapter you are using only puts out 12V then it won't work. I use the linked to power supply directly coming off of a 12V source and it has...

Re: PAP Modem rental charges on Medicare
I looked at my original "Ticket" and the 20.00 is there. I sure don't remember anything about an ABN. I had never heard of an ABN. I can't get a hold of my other Medical insurance until Monday to see if it is something I am supposed to pay. I might just be stuck but I will fight them. These DME's al...

PAP Modem rental charges on Medicare
I just got a bill from Rotech for PAP Modem Rental Charges they billed Medicare 20.00 which Medicare didn't pay and they are charging me anywhere from 10.00 to 18.00 per month. Is this a "legitimate" charge?
Thanks,
Dale

Re: Deionized water vs distilled water
I am a retired steam power plant operator. The boilers require extremely pure water at 2400 psi. We used deionized water for boiler makeup because it is so pure. The evaporators at another plant I worked at were 1200 psi boilers and we could use distilled water from evaporators for boiler makeup but...
