Re: Quattro leaks and cleaning? Help.

My Quattro gets 38-42 leak...I have done the teflon fix and I clean the outer membrane
every morning with Johnson's baby shampoo. Just a few drops in my fingers and rub lightly
around the membrane seal then rinse. Also I wash my face every night.

Re: Leak Compensation

Just to be clear here in this topic.....mouthleaking and mask leaking are 2 totally different things.
You want mouthleaking to an absolute minimum (or none) but the mask leaking looks to me me like it is not as
critical because of leak compensation in the blower....(I think)

Re: Leak Compensation

I cant' comment on the other machines but that is very interesting. What that says to me is that maybe the importance of keeping leaks in check (and believe me I try) is not quite as important as I thought. If the pressure remains the same... even though the data may be faulty, the therapy is the sa...

Re: Hose elbow for M series Cpap machines

Having just bought one from Lowes there is a 45degree fitting also available.
BTW note that it is a CPVC fitting not a PVC fitting....they are different types of fittings but look similar
but the diameters are slightly different. You want the CPVC as noted on RG's picture.
It fits pretty well.

Re: Mirage Quattro mask

I'm trying hard to make this (Quattro) mask work but want to minimize leaks cause sometimes they get outta control. Some people here talk about a straight leak line? What's up with that ? It almost seems impossible to do that for me. I fell right in the middle of the small sizing range so I bought a...

I remember being at this point just a short time ago. I had to just step back from it all
and read a TON of information here from these knowlegeable people before I went any further
or signed anything.

Re: Mask Problems

Thank YOU Degan for the tip on JB Weld. I didnt realize it wasnt the best for plastics. Let us know how you make out with the other adhesive. I belong to a club that flies RC models and I can ask around that group what's best. Maybe they know of something that's even better. Thing is, these days, th...

Re: Apria?...

I don't know if this reply is too late but believe it or not I just got a call from Apria saying they had gotten an approval from my insurance company to give me cpap equipment. Funny thing is I dont know how they got my contact info. I had bought my cpap online because I knew what I wanted. I think...

Re: Nasal Mask to full face mask

After I started using my Quattro I started having issues with my nose itching like crazy at night and waking me up. At that time I was not using the HH because I wanted to find out if I really needed it. So I started using my HC 150 at setting 1 or 2 and after about a week the itching went away. Aft...

Re: Mask Problems

I used JB weld on my spare Comfortgel mask but one thing I noticed is that because the plastic is very shiny the JB weld "fillet" fell off by itself after only a couple weeks. I then scuffed up the plastic with some sandpaper some to improve adhesion so I'll see how that goes. That being said I'll n...

Re: What to do when going to the bathroom?

I hit the middle button on the Respironics unit then unplug the mask then go to bathroom with mask on.
Just don't make the mistake I did once and forget to unhook from the mask when marching to the bathroom.

Re: Mirage Quattro Leaks/side sleeper

I do think that there is such thing as "break-in" with a mask. My Quattro seems to fit better and leaks less the more I use it. However I still have the problem of my jaw dropping open after falling asleep and the mask puffing some air on both sides at the lower end. Guess I will have to use some so...
