hiccups..
I've been on therapy for a number of years however earlier this week noticed a situation I had not previously encountered. I had a bout of hiccups shortly before I was about to hit the sack for the night. My initial inclination was to wait until that passed. but I hit the sac and put on the mask. Th...

Re: Insurance Companies are Stupid!
Guess I will just buy another one out of pocket and move on! It sucks to spend so much on insurance and then put up with this crap! If anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears! Randy You posted the best suggestion and that is exactly what I do... purchase my own equipment / supplies and leave insu...

backup machine...
I finally have a backup machine after all this time. My original equipment is as listed below. The backup is also an AutoSet II but with the H4i humidifier. Zero hour unit from secondwindcpap.com for $495. I will switch over to the new unit and keep the old machine as the backup given the new machin...

Re: Last time you've seen any sleep professional? (poll)
I have no DME. I have no sleep doctor. I purchase supplies from cpap.com out of pocket. My PCP writes my scripts for whatever I want or need. I read data on the machine every morning and occasionally download to check more thoroughly... usually when something major changes. Now if losing a few extra...

Re: Let's clear up some misinformation
But back to my point, you have a small number of chronic gripers here. They would make almost zero impact on cpap.com sales under your idea. Seems you were just complaining about the complainers.... isnt' that called being a griper? There is a measure of truth about bad DME's. I experienced a semi-...

Re: Ordering Through CPAP
I order supplies from cpap.com ...never any issue and very quick delivery. But, take my delivery experience with a grain of salt given I am located in San Antonio and cpap.com is in Houston. I don't bother with insurance or a DME... but my situation is likely a little different than others here. I'm...

Re: How often do you check your efficacy data?
Members of this board overwhelmingly support the use of xpaps that provide full compliance data. However, it is my suspicion that once we have fully adjusted to the therapy - say after about 18 months of therapy, many of us look at the efficacy data a lot less frequently. I have been under therapy ...

Re: CPAP.com and CPAPtalk.com SOPA Protests Tomorrow
I'm a Canadian currently on a work visa living in San Antonio. Actually, we are a bunch of Canadians who moved down here with the company where we have setup web hosting/software company. I find it odd the legislators seem to be able to get their act together to cobble together this horrid bill yet ...

Don't worry about upsetting the DME... as long as insurance is
paying they will be quite happy to provide you with a machine.

Re: Does your doctor/DME know you're reading data?
Nothing wrong with taking an active role with respect to your own care and well-being... so ask the naysayers if there is anything wrong with that and see what they say. If they claim you will not be able to interpret the data... ask them to provide you with instruction with respect to that. Chances...
