Re: How many hours does your machine have?

8,876 hours on the machine below.

Been considering getting a duplicate machine but been holding
off on that considering this machine may last double those hours
and more... and that I can get a new machine quickly from cpap.com

Re: new mask

Also, I asked my local DME in regards to downloading my software, they said I would need a reader but also they say only the physician or DME can download the information??? That is a bad DME still trying to keep patients in the dark about this aspect. Of course you can download the information and...

Re: Year end DME incompetence?

It depends... some DME's are consistently incompetent and are the best kind to deal with given their predictability. I suppose I should not be harsh on the DMEs; however, my experience at the outset of this journey demonstrated they were nothing more than medical equipment sales staff with varying l...

Re: New to OSA and the glamour of CPAP

Re the headaches after starting therapy... it is normal to have a headache upon first starting therapy; however, you might want to make sure the pressure setting on your machine is correct and that you are not wearing your mask straps too tight. Re the face irritation... again this could be caused b...

Re: Fellacio and Sleep Apnea

Interestingly enough back in 2008 when I was having my sleep studies... I was sitting on the edge of the bed while the nurse was hooking me up. At one point she was on her knees setting up the leg sensors when she started joking about fellacio. I suppose my question should have been: "Is that part o...

Re: reuse distilled water??

When it comes to the machine that is blowing air
and moisture into my lungs for 6 to 8 hours each
day I am only partially paranoid.

Therefore, I use distilled exclusively unless I'm
stuck. I'm rarely stuck.

Re: reuse distilled water??

Since 2008 I just keep adding distilled water to the
tank with no ill effects or residue building in the tank.

Re: Backup Equipment Necessary?

Hey everyone, been reading through many of the posts on here, and it seems like a lot of people have backups of equipment. Two questions: 1) Is it necessary/advisable to have backups? If so, what backups should I have (mask, hose, etc)? 2) Will insurance cover backups? If not, do you buy them yours...

Re: Changed to FFM.... Disaster :(

I've been on CPAP for 2 years this month, and have stuck to it 100%. Using nasal pillows, I had my AHI down to 2 or less consistently, but had to tape, chinstrap, etc... due to being a mouthbreather. I felt that I could finally tolerate a FFM, and switched yesterday, finding that the Quattro FX had...

Swift FX - left over pillows

What do y'all do with your left over pillows from the Swift FX? The medium that comes already installed with the mask worked fine for me so I have the small & large unopened and unused pillows left over. Will cpap.com exchange them for the correct size that works for us? I expect the answer is no......

Re: Canadian in Texas

Ordered my Swift FX on the 20th... had it on the 21st.

Thanks cpap.com!

After wearing a Quattro every night since 2008 I find
the Swift FX rocks and is a refreshing and welcome change.

Less issues with leaks and less mask over my face.

Re: Canadian in Texas

That was simple... Swift FX and some other sundry items on the way. So for any other Canadians who find yourselves living in the States... -first get medical insurance -then get a doc -then show the doc your Canadian prescription for xPAP and have them write you a new American prescription -the orde...
