Re: Treatment making apnea worse?
So what about software?? That would tell you how much your mask is leaking, how many arousals, what type of events, etc. I think it's essential to be able to see your data and be able to tweak settings accordingly. You can contact Pugsy about the software.

Re: Treatment making apnea worse?
It's been 7yrs since your last sleep study, maybe things have changed . You don't mention having software to analyze your machine data, that's important so you can tweak your pressure settings if necessary and see if your leaks are interfering with good sleep. How about a different mask? If you're s...

UPDATE-- FOR SALE-F&P SIMPLUS MEDIUM-
Upate! I finally satisfied myself that Mike is not a good candidate for these wonderful masks. I couldn't make the simple adjustments that were needed without his input. If I count the hours worn, they both probably equal 1week each but broken down into an hour or so for each for about 1 month. In b...

Re: Reading Sleep State from Respiratory Rate
[...there is a robust correlation between REM sleep and respiratory rate (it increases during REM) and tidal volume (it decreases during REM). As well as becoming more shallow and more rapid, respiration also becomes more variable in REM. This is according to every sleep medicine textbook and artic...

Re: Hat tip to C Goodman and CPAP dot com
Since no good deed should go unpunished, I had sent a note to cpap.com that I was having trouble logging in. And, I heard from Carolyn Goodman this evening at 8 pm Pacific. Problem (minor as it was) solved, but the fact that Ms. Goodman was working late into the evening, working on issues such as m...

Re: AHI is OK, but feel much worse. Lots of centrals.
Suggest you don't use autoset. Your machine will try and distinguish between obstructive and central events but will not be 100% accurate and some central events will be misinterpreted as obstructive. The result will be a bump up in pressure which is the opposite of what you need for central events...

Re: For Those Who Use the AIR or SIMPLUS!
haha no you won't go to jail, its just there's certain user menus and provider menus, the doctor can easily show you how to adjust your own machine but most places won't :/ Glad to see you can take some ribbing! Forgot to mention that most of us here probably know more about these machines and how ...
