It's good to hear from you (and see your picture too) It's good to see some CPAP gurus still lurking around and share their valuable experience.

I hope all is good with you. Best wishes

I had the surgery !!!

I have not read or posted here for a long long time, but this forum was a great source of information and support group when I was using CPAP. I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea 4 years ago and started using CPAP about 3 years ago. I have had insomnia for the past 22 years which I have been t...

Re: Rozerem (new) & Provigil: Thoughts anyone?

Oh you're right! I do have sleep phase problem where my sleep onset is DELAYED, not advanced. If it weren't for my day job, I'd have a 4:00 a.m. bedtime and get up about noon -- like any civilized creature IMHO! How can I find the night-owl forum you refer to? I'd really like to discuss the problem...

Re: Rozerem (new) & Provigil: Thoughts anyone?

Has anyone heard any news concering the drug Rozerem? I'm eagerly awaiting Rozerem as it sounds like it may have potential to treat advanced sleep phase syndrome. ... Provigil, BTW, seems to have considerable abuse potential. A meth-addicted friend regards it as the best (e.g. the most meth-type hi...

[quote="WAFlowers"]When I travel overseas on business I've successfully used melatonin to force my sleep cycle to adjust almost overnight. I've been able to avoid most of the effects of jetlag that plague others I've travelled with.

Not sure how it would work for you though.

I can definitely understand the feeling and how the brain fog affects your performance and self-esteem. Along with OSA, I have Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome where my sleep/wake cycle is deleyed (3-11 am), so having had to start work at 9 am has been a nightmare. I thank god about being diagnosed and ...

Besides OSA that I am treating with CPAP, I have delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome where I tend to sleep late (3 am) and wake up late (11 am). I have been interviewing for jobs and had to wake up early in the mornings and be real alert. I tried 200 mg Provigil a few times and it sure helped wake up my br...

This is the fact about many doctors. I hate doctor visits for 2 minutes and then they charge my insurance over $120. It looks like the insurance companies don't really care as long as they make money overall. They increase out premiums regularly

Relaxation techniques anyone ???

I am just wondering as if others have or are practicing any relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga etc. I have just enrolled in a relaxation class at my local hospital called "Mindfullness meditation". I think in this day and age with too much to do and too little time, it could be very benefic...

I also hate it when the doctors are too quick to prescribe anti-depressents as soon as they hear insomnia or fatigue. I have been to psychiatrists where a office visit is 2 minutes or less and the private ones which is half an hour. Non of them would even consider OSA unless you tell them so. OSA co...
