Yes, you do need to tape BECAUSE the air is coming from the inside. The pressurized air from your CPAP is supposed to be going down your airways, not out of your mouth. That is a HUGE and significant leak and you need to fix it or else your CPAP therapy is pointless. It's time for tape or a full fac...

I had a similar experience. I hated the Liberty, tolerated the Hybrid with the chin flap cut off, and I *LOVE* the Zzz mask. It is hands down the most comfortable mask I've tried.
