Re: A funny thing happened at the DME today.

Sorry, my test drive went south too. Someone took off with my mask as well. And honestly, I just don't have the time to run a test drive anymore (or even post here, really). I'm sure someone will be happy to take that mask off your hands though. Change your topic to reflect that you've got a mask up...

Re: ResMed Mirage Liberty SMALL Test Drive

Hey folks. The test trive is currently suspended. It was sent to the user 'elliejose' in February and she has not responded to my PMs nor has she been seen around the site since then.

Re: Mouth taping logic ??

Are there any others out there who use a full face mask even though they are nose breathers, who just sometimes have mouth leaks? Absolutely. I'm a nose breather, but often woke up with my mouth hanging open and air rushing out, so I started taping. But I got so tired of dealing with taping at nigh...

$300 for an UMFF. That's a 100% markup from CPAP.com's price.

I'm one of the biggest proponents of socialised medicine, but mother of GOD. How can they get away with that???

Re: Ladies what FFM do you use??

I love the Zzz mask! I think mine is currently a medium and I'm probably going to buy a small soon because my face is getting thinner and I'm noticing more leaks lately.

Re: Air in my mouth

Yes, you do need to tape BECAUSE the air is coming from the inside. The pressurized air from your CPAP is supposed to be going down your airways, not out of your mouth. That is a HUGE and significant leak and you need to fix it or else your CPAP therapy is pointless. It's time for tape or a full fac...

Re: Am I having centrals?

Okay, I bumped my pressure up to 9 last night. AHI was 3.6 which is still pretty high considering, and my 90% pressure went up to 10. Does that mean I should move the pressure up to 10 as well? Or should I just leave it and accept 3.6? I feel okay this morning. I didn't wake up at all last night for...

Re: Hybrid, Liberty and Zzz-Mask Comparison Post

I had a similar experience. I hated the Liberty, tolerated the Hybrid with the chin flap cut off, and I *LOVE* the Zzz mask. It is hands down the most comfortable mask I've tried.

Re: Am I having centrals?

Tell you a secret - but from what I've read, seen and heard, having bypass usually eliminates the need for Cpap altogether, cures GERD and possibly even diabetes (and I'm not talking about snake-oil stories, but real serious research). You may be just in the early stages of things, so wait a while ...

Re: Am I having centrals?

Are any "NR" (Non-Responsive) events showing up on your reports? Can you determine at what pressure they're occurring? Are they happening consistently over several nights? Is it possible that they're "positional" in nature? Is your pressure range still the same? (if they're happening at lower press...

Am I having centrals?

First off, hello everyone, long time, no see, etc, etc. I had gastric bypass surgery three weeks ago. I've lost about 35 lbs. Now, before surgery my AHI was consistently under 1. I stopped using it for three weeks because I have problems with aerophagia and I was really concerned about inflating my ...

Re: Being overweight and the use of CPAP

I understand that after a gastric bypass you can expect to lose 1/3 of your weight. I bet you notice a big difference. Great choice in being proactive in your health and life.Six months from now when you look in the mirror you are going to see a happier person and in a lot better health. If you do ...

Re: Being overweight and the use of CPAP

My BMI is currently 44. I'm having RNY gastric bypass in three weeks. I'll be very curious to see if my OSA goes away once I've lost weight.
