Auto BiPap need help
Hey everyone: I recently got switched from a standard CPAP to an auto Bi-Pap machine. My settings are min 12cm H2O, max 25, with a pressure support of 5cm. Right now my AHI is still well up into the 20's on some nights. Wondering if there is any kind of adjustment I can make to get my AHI a little l...

High pressure mask leaks
Greetin's y'all. So I got my new Auto BiPap machine now... And I've been with it a week so far. Tried three different FFM's that I have, but they all wind up leaking in the middle of the night or towards morning. And tugging & snugging on the straps doesn't seem to help. Has anyone had experience wi...

BiPap auto question
So, I have this new BiPap auto machine... My sleep study indicated that 21/17 cmH2O was the optimal setting for me. So I have three primary settings, Epap, Ipap, and PS on my new machine. From what I have reesarched, these translate to Low limit, high limit, and sliding window, respectively. SO I se...

Surprising results
I had been thinking everything was hunkey-dorey for the last ten years or so... But my wife started complaining about me moving my legs around so much it was like I was running a marathon in my sleep. So I went to the sleep doc. We speculated on some stuff. I said, "Hey, the last time I had a polyso...

Re: Going for a surgical consult
I had a laser-assisted UPPP back in 04. The surgery itself was painless, but the week after was horrible. It was difficult to eat anything and I was living on throat spray and cold green jello. Did it help with my sleep apnea? No. None whatsoever. I had another polysomnograph done after the procedur...

Can't stand the noise? Here's what to do
My old ResMed machine had a constant speed fan inside of it. So it made a nice natural white noise that helped me get to sleep every night. I was almost dependent on it. The new machine, [Apex XT Fit] like most new machines on the market today, is miniaturized so much that the squirrel-cage fan insi...

My replacement machine: Apex XT Fit
My trusty ResMed S6 finally started to wear out on me as the bearings went bad. So my new primary machine is the Apex XT Fit. I will not get up on a soap box about the big three manufacturers at this point. But I will tell you all that so far the XT Fit is functioning just fine, and I will report ho...

Re: Machine w/o variable speed blower?
I know what the OP means. My original machine is a 15 year old Respironics Aria LX. It's noisy but apparently has more inertia to the blower rotor because it's pretty much steady pitch. The System One 250 that I replaced it with is set for constant pressure but the audible pitch varies up and down ...

Yes it does. Do the math. I have the reading on the hour meter to prove it.robysue wrote:10 years of use at 7.67 hours per night does equal 28,000 hours.Therapist wrote:WindFlyer wrote:20cm H2O
