Topic: Help please, can't find "details" in encore to get

Tash, you can find this yourself through the "Help" function in EncorePro. Searching on details, or maybe "Interactive" will get it. That's how I did it initially. It's not at all intuitive. I'd tell you more exactly if I remembered. (Isn't that an OSA symptom?) I managed to do it again this morning...

I would up the pressure and close the gap maybe 14 for hign and 8 for low and see where it ran . . . Goofproof, that's exactly what I hope to do in the near future, but sinuses prevent me from exhaling at higher pressures right now. Today I ordered a device called Grossan Hydropulse Nasal/Sinus Irr...

I called my BCBS provider before purchasing my machine on-line and was told they preferred to do the rent-to-own thing but that they would pay the out-of-network rate if I purchased on-line, but that I would have to submit the paperwork myself. This sounded not so bad so I later got instructions to ...

Toy with your settings a bit and find what works for you. Thanks for the encouragement, Cybergoon. I was feeling so good about things that I upped the max IPAP pressure to 10 cm H2O last night, but left the EPAP at 4 cm, with PSmax=5 cm. Results were really interesting. For the first half of the ni...

Keep on ramblin

wow... I really DO ramble.... my wife is RIGHT!
Yardbird, what you've written is not rambling at all. It is clear, precise and to the point; quite the opposite of rambling.

Bill

OH NO!

I've noticed my own schnozz displaying more color recently, but hadn't yet realized this might be a permanent condition. Why did ya have to tell me. . .

MyEncore Gives Different Results from EncorePro

It's pretty obvious that Encore Pro and MyEncore give somewhat different results for the parameters they plot. I'd just assumed that MyEncore simply read the database without massaging the data in any way, but if that were true then MyEncore would always display larger results. Last night though Enc...

Certainly if you have enough rain-out to cause gurgling or vibrations the machine could be responding to that. I'll buy your argument. Even though I observed this phenomenon in CPAP mode (i.e., IPAP=EPAP), the machine is constantly adjusting pressure to offset the inhalation and exhalation pressure...

Another Respironics Question

I've finally determined that the pressure glitches my Respironics AutoBiPAP makes in the middle of the night are related to water in the hose. The reason I think this is that the machine really kinda goes crazy with this if I shake the hose when it has some water in it. I haven't seen this pressure ...

But whereas I paid for my equipment out-of-pocket and then billed my insurance provider, I was considered in-network and got the higher rate.
OK, I understand now. That's the part that wasn't sinking in for me.

Thanks,
Bill

This is no different than buying medications or paying for other doctor visits out-of-pocket, so they should reimburse you at the in-network rate. Den, I'm not sure I fully understand the logic here. For that matter I'm not sure I understood my insurance representative's logic either. With my high ...

I called my insurance company and was first told the same info you were (i.e., rent to own) but when I asked specifically about purchasing it online I was told that was acceptable, but that it would be reimbursed at the out-of-network rate (i.e., 60%). I kinda figured my out-of-pocket might be less ...

None Since Beginning Therapy

Before xPAP therapy I had frequent (as in nightly) incidents of atrial flutter/fibrillation; not a single incident in the three weeks since starting xPAP therapy though. Also had bradycardia which caused oximeter to alarm occasionally. It too, appears reduced now.

Bill

Wow, This AutoBiPAP Really Works

OK, call me slow, but I finally beat down the sinus and mask leak gremlins enough to attempt AutoBiPAP mode at higher pressure last night and, despite having somewhat broken sleep, got up feeling pretty good this morning. Last time I tried upping the pressure, I found that I had large leaks (which p...

FF Mask Recommendation

. . . I am still thinking about asking DME supplier for a full-face mask, so that I can work out the mouth breathing thing. Jimbo, I'm making peace with the ResMed Ultra Mirage FF Mask. I got it for the very reason you're citing, but found that using this mask actually minimizes my mouth breathing....
