Re: OK ... have Encoreviewer and now am totally perplexed!
Your one night chart you posted looks pretty good to me. What I needed to do to be confident the hassle was worth it: I didn't feel good at all after just one week, maybe a month. But the clincher was I bought a recording pulse-oximeter, and you could really see that my oxygen was OK all night when ...

Here is a link to your expect leak rate for your mask: http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documents/service_support/pressure_flow_rates/1012648_pressure-vs-flow_usa_eng.pdf It does look like you have your leaks in good control. I might try changing your pressure range from what looks like now from 16-...

Re: Nasal Pillow Rainout
I know the original poster said the nasal pillow rainout caused leaks. On mine, I get moisture only sometimes - and it is accompanied by leaks. So I figured the leaking caused the rainout in the pillows, since escaping air there would cool the pillows more than normal. But maybe I have it backwards,...

Re: forgot to empty water - now machine makes a loud noise
How loud is loud? I've heard of M-series that whine some - mine does too, but I wouldn't consider it loud. It seems to come and go on mine. I've also read here that some people's M-series started whining after travel with it, even with no water problems. I think they guessed that rough handling did ...

Re: I want to scream!
I was curious about this relationship between your insurance and EMP and I did some googling.
I found:
http://www.empmed.com/
and I found that BCBS/florida HMO uses EMP. I don't use an HMO, but I do hear that HMO plans sometimes means exclusive arrangements with providers.

Re: Cant get Encore Pro 2.3 64 bit to install in my vista PC
With Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 you can right click on My Computer or Computer in Win7, and left click on MANAGE then SERVICES AND APPLICATIONS then SERVICES. For EncorePro version 1.8.49, the service is SQL Server (ENCOREPROEX). It should be started and set to Automatic. I don't know if its the sa...

Re: Cant get Encore Pro 2.3 64 bit to install in my vista PC
Have you looked in Services to see if the SQL Server processes are started? You are talking about the task manager? Like... ctrl+alt+delete, selecting "Task Manager" and looking at the list of all the running programs? I have not done that. Would you be suggesting that I use that to make sure I got...

Re: Poll re: Sleeping Supine
Before CPAP, I NEVER slept on my back, not since I was very young (about 5). Probably because I couldn't breathe that way. Not long after starting CPAP, I started sleeping on my back - and my AHI is under 0.7. By the way, one thing that helped me get a APAP: during my titration, I slept on my side(s...

Re: If AHI = 0.0 does one care about the leak rate ?
The machines have a limit to how much leak for which they can compensate by increasing flow rate. On my machine, that is reported as Large Leak.
However, I think too many leaks can be irritating to our sleep, no matter the AHI, it wakes me up.

Re: cpaptalk, iPad, and forumrunner
I use a Palm Centro (I know, I know, but I have Verizon and I have everything I need on Palm)--it sure would be nice to have a mobile version of this site rather than a platform specific app. That way people with Blackberries, Droids, iPhones, and even obsolete Palms could use it. I have had some s...
