Great Pillow Exchange

Am looking to trade Hybrid SMALL and LARGE (cushions & nasal prongs) for MEDIUMS.
I have used this mask for many years and , despite trying others, Hybrid works best for me!

Re: In admiration of our RestedGal

Count me in on this "Thanks to RG!" thread! I began this journey over 4 years ago and ,like my name here reveals, I was completely in a fog as to how to survive this new lifestyle! Rested Gal was one the first persons here to explain, suggest, demonstate and encourage me at every twist and turn! Hap...

Re: been wanting to report on this......

Good Point!!!! I know that there have been times ,when changing positions through the night, my mask may get a tiny air leak near my eyes, so maybe this mask is blocking that ! I check my leaks each night on my machine and they are always within limits, so the leaks must be small! But, even a small ...

been wanting to report on this......

OK.......I've discovered something, by accident really, but I just have to share this with everyone here! First, let me begin by saying that I consider myself to be pretty adapted to my machine and mask (M series auto/ Hybrid.) I sleep well, monitor my results weekly and rest just fine! Now, I do ha...

Vista help needed for SmartCard

I had to break down and buy a new computer and guess what operating system came with it?!?! That's right, VISTA, dang it! Now, I am trying to find out what I must do in order to be able to read the smart cart from my M-series machine. (I was using EncorePro version 1.6i, Smartcard Reader/Writer vers...

Personally, my favorite mask is the Hybrid. no problema with leaks and it is wonderful not to have to deal with mouthleaks anymore! Just wanted to add....be sure to change /clean filters on your machine too!
I'm not usually stuffy or runny, but if I happen to notice that I wake up stuffy.....9 times out of 10, the filter needs changing! Once clean filters are in place for the following night, everything is back to normal!!

I was miserable with a straight pressure cpap blowing at a constant pressure all night, whether I needed it or not! Once I switched to apap, I was fine! No more aerophagia!!! And data reports support that ,for the most of the night, my pressure was actually 2 points LOWER than the prescribed pressur...

I can tell you that my aerophagia on a straight cpap was so bad that one night of a trial apap was bliss!!! Have not had another night of such torment! Been on apap now for almost 3 years!

As to the side leaks on the Hybrid, I find that to happen more often when on my back. Once relaxed, facial muscles just seem to fall away from mask! I can usually solve this by tightening the straps.

drawer housing

Just wondering what others think about running pap machine all night inside a closed/partially closed drawer? Wouldn't this limit fresh air intake?

I have loved my Hybrid from the very first night! Been using it now for over 8 months and I still have the lowest pressures and AHI's on my auto than I even had in 3 years with any other mask! Guess I was one of the lucky ones! Sure is nice going to bed without chin straps and tape!
