I'm nasally challenged (small nose), usually have to get a petite. This stayed on my face where I put it. Now the only problem I'm having is the damne...

Re: Three Years Down!

Congratulations. I'm just going on 4 years now. I was quite lucky and took to it like a duck to water. My CPAP is my best friend, I can't sleep without it. Only twice in this whole time have I tried to sleep without it. Both times I lived to regret it, though the 2nd time was not my doing (power cut...

Re: FP Flexi-fit 306 Cushion

Stupid me... yes, I do mean the 406. Mine seems to get these little cracks in it over time and they grow until it no longer seals properly. 6 months seems to be it for it. I have a very small nose (I guess you can say I'm nasally challenged). We're lucky, here in Ottawa (Canada) the DMEs let us try ...

FP Flexi-fit 306 Cushion

Did you know that the cushion inside the Fisher Paykell Flexi-fit masks should be changed out monthly? But apparently most change them every 3 months. Mine lasted 6 months and am told that apparently I was looking after mine. (I got that info from Fisher Paykell themselves). I only get a new mask on...

Re: What are the best three chinstraps?

I just got one from someone on ebay for $16.95 (reasonable shipping costs). Its called the "AG Deluxe III Adjustable CPAP chin strap". Works fantastic. This is my first chin strap and have had no problems using it. (No I'm not affiliated with the seller "Breathe Rite Medical Supplies", just a happy ...

Russpat:

I have a small nose too. I wonder if that has any corralation with nosebleeds as kids. Hmmm...

My brother and sister don't have the problem. Yet my grandfather did. That's why we think its hereditary. Something to think about.

I have nose bleeds. But then again, I've have nose bleeds since I was a child. I have a vaine in my nose fairly close to the skin. CPAP hasn't helped it much. Lately I've been using somthing... Secaris and the same brand also makes Rhinaris. I've tried Rhinaris, an ENT specialist gave me a sample. D...

Try turning your humidifier down a little, could help the rain out. I have the same problem sometimes, and it works.

I too had the same problem, but it was mild headaches. But when there was a pressure change outside... watch out, migrains big time, especially in the humid summer (I live in Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA). I've been using my CPAP for 2 years now...I've only had 1 migrain since. Had a bad night's sleep th...

I've actually been using the proactive system before bed. I let it all dry first before putting on my mask. I haven't noticed anything happening to the mask, Been using it for about 6 months now. I was really having a problem with zits around the nose and under the bands of my mask, since using this...

Travelling Topic Again

Hi all, just reporting my trip to Seattle from Ottawa (Canada). Had a great experience not only with the Canadian Authorities going but the US coming back. Going, I told them what it was, they put it through the scanner and that was it, they never even swabbed it. Coming home from Seattle was a litt...

I wonder if one of those micro-fibre clothes would work? They are lint free.

So... I have a question. I will be travelling in December for the first time with my CPAP. When you check your luggage in, do you tell the person behind the counter that you're travelling with a CPAP? Or do you just announce it when you go through security? BTW, I was advised by the canadian authori...
