You might also check if the humidity in your location is getting low with winter...you might have to bring up the humidifier a bit.

I would be concerend if an apnea duration lasted more than like 10 minutes ... but then again, maybe it wouldn't really matter anymore. Everyone is different, maybe an oximeter rental/purchase would soothe the concern ... or at least validate any concern. BTW - I just tried holding my breath for 24...

Well... ... how about a nice shawl to keep her warm ( people her age often feel chilly when you don't move much)...and you could see it as having your arms around her when you're not there!!!

Getting used to any mask is quite the challenge in the beginning! The nasal pillows are not always easy to get used to..or any type of mask, as a matter of fact!
