Re: Any other New Year's babies?
My birthday is January 1 and I expect some damn respect from my family for at least this one day per year! Any other members who were New Year's babies? Well, happy birthday to you....perhaps I could pay the farmer in your little " rooster video" to let you loose for 24 hours !! Have a great day! D...

New Year’s Resolution - Happiness in 2009
The arrival of the new year marks a symbolic time for fresh starts. Many of us take it as an opportunity to set goals, contemplate decisions, and renew commitments. It’s special because of the revitalized sense of hope it brings. Some people believe that if they just had more money, the things that ...

Re: Chicago man named Christmas dies two days before Christmas
That's sad. But how do you "die of sleep apnea". I don't really know how I could "die from apnea". Usually the body will eventually "tell" the person to start breathing again before you'd die. Explain that, please. Jay Apnea, is a technical term for suspension of external breathing. During apnea th...

Re: Blood Pressure Meds.
I did a little search for you, and found that here were no indications of interference with sleep... All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Lisinopri...

Re: Have Software - Need Help
Here is ome info that I had gathered in the beginning of my " quest" to better understand it all! AHI (Apnea Hypopnea Index) Apnea Hypopnea Index is the number of apneas and hypopneas per hour. This index, as well as oxygen saturation levels (O2 Sat), is used to determine how severe a case of Sleep ...

Ayer gel is really the best. Second in line is anything made with Lanoline.

Re: When Should You Be Concerned With Apnea Duration ?
I would be concerend if an apnea duration lasted more than like 10 minutes ... but then again, maybe it wouldn't really matter anymore. Everyone is different, maybe an oximeter rental/purchase would soothe the concern ... or at least validate any concern. BTW - I just tried holding my breath for 24...

Re: 1st time w/ CPAP + nasal pillows
Getting used to any mask is quite the challenge in the beginning! The nasal pillows are not always easy to get used to..or any type of mask, as a matter of fact! Why don't you wait and giver it a week or two of trial? Just check that the 30 day trial isn't over, so that you can switch if you want to...
