Re: AirTouch F20 Memory Foam Cushion - Small - Only Lasts 3 Weeks

myself, I find the foam to be softer on my nose than the pad a cheek liners, but YMMV no-more-headaches: do you find the liners to be softer? do you think the use of the liners extends the life of the touch foam cushions? The full face mask eliminates the mouth pressure that causes me to open my mo...

Re: AirTouch F20 Memory Foam Cushion - Small - Only Lasts 3 Weeks

I have done both but I am currently putting the pad a cheek liners on the Airtouch foam cushions. The trick for me is to get the liners to be loose and not pulled tight.. When they are fresh out of the laundry they seem to be a little stiffer and loosen up over time. I wish the tongues that reach up...

Re: AirTouch F20 Memory Foam Cushion - Small - Only Lasts 3 Weeks

I have gone months on the Airtouch F20 cushions using padacheek liners. In fact I have a lot of extra supply now because I have not been changing at the suggested rate. Without the liner it would be a whole other story. I have tried some other liner brands like the ones that are stretchable and have...

Re: cpap.com is now taking pre orders on the AirSense 11 AutoSet

My wife had a conversation with her Sleep Doctor last week and they put in a script as her machine had 19000 hours. She got away with not having to do another sleep study. She talked to the DME last Friday and they said there would be a delay of 6 weeks or so. It showed up today. Given this and cpap...

Re: cpap.com is now taking pre orders on the AirSense 11 AutoSet

Folks some things to note. I don't think ResMed is shipping machines with SD cards anymore...that's not a big surprise. Easily remedied though since any generic SD card 32 GB or less will work. Also apparently cpap.com doesn't have the product packaged with a heated hose....and a heated hose is not...

Re: Who has the most number of hours on their machine?

The only people promoting replacement at 15,000 hours, sell machines. The manufacturers and the DMEs. Yea but that does not answer my question. DME aside! How long do people go? What are the most number of hours or do you just wait for it to break? Also At some point there is no warranty and downti...

Who has the most number of hours on their machine?

So my wife's S10 machine is about 19000 hours and will be discussing a new machine today with her doctor. We will probably recycle her machine into a travel machine but it makes me wonder how many these machines actually live vs the recommended 15000 hours to replace. What are the records? Do they h...

Re: CPAP replacement for someone newly under Medicare

So IMO this is pinching pennies yet promising you more like dental or eye care or transportation or OTC meds, etc. So choose your poison carefully. Indeed, But most people don't really understand WHY Medicare Advantage Plans offer "extras" like dental/eye/transport/OTC etc. It's not because they wa...

Re: CPAP replacement for someone newly under Medicare

Good to hear! Yea mine was done in 2007 in a professional medical foundation clinic with all the data hookups and technicians monitoring and I was diagnosed as severe. AHI of 29.5 I think with 78 flat on my back. You haven't indicated if you have the good 'ol original Medicare? Unless things have c...

Re: CPAP replacement for someone newly under Medicare

Just wanted to get a heads up on what to expect here. I have been on CPAP for 14+ years. I got my last CPAP (Airsense 10) under ACA Insurance 4 years ago or so. I have been under Medicare for 2+ years now and expect at some point soon my machine will be ready for a replacement. I know Medicare cove...

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak

Is there some sort of reason we don't see this on cpap.com yet? Do the DMEs get a 3 month headstart or is the chip shortage complicating things? Cpap.com is a DME. You know what I mean. The kind that take your insurance. Ignoring all that it doesn't answer my question why the online sellers are not...

Re: Resmed Airtouch F20 leaks

I am an Airtouch F20 user and padacheek liners make a BIG difference for me. In fact I have gotten many nights with the full 20 points for Mask Seal on the MyAir scale.
It's not to say a different mask might work better but give it a try first as you might get longer use out of your mask.
