Re: Whistling Noise
Plumers tape works great. If the mask fits great try the tape to avoid return hassles. I heard the comfortcurve whistle is a common problem. I got a comfortcurve to try and the tape was an easy fix compared to try to get the cheek supports to fit my full face which was impossible.

Zest mask swap
I would like to swap a Zest mask. Would like either a Activa (prefer shallow) or a Comfortlite. The Zest seems like a nice light weight mask but is too large for me. The one size fits all Zest claims to fit 80% of all faces. Looks like it might be a good fit for someone who wears a medium mask and/o...

Re: Have you tried these HOSE COVERS?
Fleece is great. Got the Respironics brand and it was covered by flexible spending due to it being it being a cpap item from a online cpap store. It is neutral grey and the fleece doesnot pile up and get nasty looking after machine wash/drying it. I just put the end that says respironics on it at th...

Re: Apnea and S.A.D.S.?
Found I still get it .Was hoping cpap use would help but nope. Looking forward to when the days get longer at the end of Dec. and for a bit of sunshine. Full spectrum lights help a bit but being stuck in the cloudy upper North is no help.

Re: Uh oh - sleep lab bill came...
You may be getting more surprise charges. Is that just the sleep lab bill or does it include the doctor's fee too? Insurance seems to be billed seperately for the test, the doctor's service of "reading" the techs scoring plus a follow up visit. Plus there might be a surprise doctor bill to cover you ...

Re: Leak line Concern
Posting the leakrate(s) would be a good to check out other opinions. I always wonder how some people are able to get a low leak rate that is pretty flat for the whole night. The only way I can get a flat line with close to the suggested mask leak rate is to stay in one place and not be sleeping too ...

Re: How do health care providers get away with it?
Union with kickbacks says it all. Recently I had a test got 3 bills one for the test, one for the radiologist who "read" the test and a kickback to a doctor(another radiologist) who neither ordered or was present during the test but got money because I was in the department. The insurance company pai...

Re: Apria Customer Disservice
I am glad that my insurance company let me select from 3 out of the 4 local providers. Apria was one of the covered ones and was quickly eliminated when they would not give me a price range on what things cost like their competitors did over the phone. Apria told me the charges depend on what the in...

Re: Pap-cap II Review
It looks like pap-cap fits a certain shape head better than others. Bike/Ski helmet makers tend do the same with some brands fitting and others made for another head shape. It takes alot of R&D to narrow down what will fit the majority of heads and maybe someday a 2nd shape cap would be offered. It ...

Re: Pap-cap II Review
Perhaps the Pap-cap II is larger than the original papcap. I have been trying to find out that information without success. It would be nice to know the approx. size difference in inches before investing in the papcap II. Everyone has a different size/shape head and different masks/positionings so w...

Re: Humidity Issues Causing Wake up. Any Ideas?
When I first started to increase the humidity setting the nasal dryness/conjestion got better until too much humidity caused "rain-out", increased nasal conjestion closing nasal passages which increased mouth breathing and dryness. Seemed like a bad circle so ended up doing trouble shooting. Rainout...

Re: CPAP Support Group Meeting - Menomonee Falls WI
Sounds like it might be well worth going to weather permiting in January. I plan to call to check out the topic and if any reps are going to show up to answer questions. Heard sometimes they have food and drawings to make going worthwhile.

Pursleep Trade
I have a variety of Pursleep vials that I can't use and would like to trade for either sealed filters or mask parts. Looking for Remstar or M seris filters, size medium or large simple cushions or direct seals for comfortlite and a medium pillow for the optilife. This is a good swap for someone who ...
