Re: Are "ST" machines obsolete?
Rubicon, I was looking at the CPAP dot com website, and a few of their competitors. There was no price listed, and a note "unavailable". But apparently demand exceeds supply (?) For someone whose breathing rate slows down occasionally (central?) that seems useful. Sleep doc here considers "excursion...

Are "ST" machines obsolete?
I see listings for vpap ST machines (e.g. Aircurve 10 ST), but "no longer available". It seems like spontaneous/timed vpap would be the best of both worlds(?) Is there some issue with that technology, or am I not looking in the right places ???

Re: Sleepyhead CSV data export ??
THANK YOU Respirator99 !
That works ! Much appreciated.
(I haven't messed with the software for about a decade, no surprise the legacy tools don't operate as expected)

Sleepyhead CSV data export ??
Sleepyhead has a CSV export option (detail, sessions, daily), but I'm not sure how to use it. I did scan the tutorial, but I may have missed how it operates exactly. I have acquired a session file (*.SPO2) from a Contec CMS50F, and I can see the summary report and the strip charts. I would like to d...

Oximetry software for Nonin wristox 3150 ?
Is there a free software that can read a Nonin 3150 wrist oximeter?

Wellue Oxylink
Does anyone have experience with the Wellue Oxylink pulse oximeter? Seems it's being aggressively marketed online, and seems like a good idea (wears like a ring on a finger, rather than on the wrist). I have two previous nonin wrist oxymeters (model 3150), and got a lot of good mileage out of them, ...

Re: Sleep onset Sp02 Drops
Disabling the EPR will only increase the pressure on exhalation, which may or may not influence the breathing rate . Whereas a bipap will fully correct for a depressed breathing rate , which appears to be a factor in the above conversation. With EPR enabled, an ordinary cpap/apap machine (with EPR c...

Re: Sleep onset Sp02 Drops
Your SPO2 drops appear to correlate with drops in tidal volume and breathing rate (not a surprise). It's possible that you are experiencing central apneas associated with the complex process of "falling asleep". (Or it could still be obstructive (?). One possible solution would be to experiment with...

Re: What machines are remotely controllable? That seems like not necessarily a good thing (?)
Thanks greatunclebill, Palerider, SewTired, ChynkyFrog, gryphon, D.H. Good info, and you've answered my question. I am older and wiser (mostly older), and I will relay your advice to my high-pressure acquaintance that started this discussion. Meanwhile... Or enclose your machine in a Faraday cage. I...

Re: What machines are remotely controllable? That seems like not necessarily a good thing (?)
Thanks SewTired, I understand the usefulness of remotely accessing the data. And you've told us how to disable that feature (remove module, set airplane mode etc.). That is helpful, thanks !!! I thought it was sort of a one-way street, i.e. data collection. But not the other direction, (adjusting th...

Re: What machines are remotely controllable? That seems like not necessarily a good thing (?)
...for the record, I would NEVER let my DME or even my doctor mess with my pressure. It bothers me that there (reportedly) exist machines that allow them to do just that (without my/your explicit prior approval). I am the only one that I will allow to tweak the pressure, and I am the best qualified ...

What machines are remotely controllable? That seems like not necessarily a good thing (?)
What machines are remotely controllable? I have heard horror stories of DMEs remotely programming the patient's pressure at a fixed 17 cm, and it is grossly inappropriate (IMHO). I can see how some people would benefit from this "feature", but I'm not convinced that this is a good thing where DMEs t...

AirFit-F10 vs. F20 opinion?
AirFit-F10 and F20 are two FF masks I haven't tried yet. Does anyone have experience with both, and have an opinion which is better? I can't tell much from reading the descriptions and the reviews exactly what are the important differences and whether one is stunningly better than the other. Thought...
