Re: Cpap Machines
Thank you Jim, very useful info on Medicare! I hope not to have a sleep study, at this point I have myself trained NOT to fall asleep with out Cpap. And thanks to all for the info also. Some research is needed so I have an idea of machines, costs and my Medicare options. Thanks again, I knew I'd get...

Re: Cpap Machines
H5i? Does that sound right? I couldn't find anything else on the machine. I had to use Apria when I has insurance thru work. Totally usless company. Now that I'm retired I have Medicare which I don't know anything about how they do machines. I have ordered masks and filters using Medicare and everyt...

Cpap Machines
Its been a while since I've been here. Way back when I was diagnosed I found this forum and was helped by all these knowledgable people taking time to help those who were struggling. I know I'll get answers to my questions. My current machine, a Resmed S9 is giving me an error message the "motor lif...

Re: advice for my new user friend
I'm going to go over all her option/issues with her this weekend. And have her join the forum to ask the questions that concern her and get her a good machine so she can get started on this. Knowing her as I do I have no doubt she will do well. Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comments.

Re: advice for my new user friend
Hi Den! I do stop by from time to time. I have to keep up with all that's new. Read reviews, etc. I am at the same place with my therapy and have the attitude, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My AHI is still below 1, usually .5 and is pretty consistent. No issues with masks, machines, data, etc. I'...

Re: advice for my new user friend
Sorry, it is the Escape he prescribed. She will be joining the forum, we just talked about it yesterday. She's not yet familiar with terminology, had a home sleep study. My concern was the comments made by the doctor that my machine would not handle the centrals, is that true? Is there a particular ...

advice for my new user friend
My friend was diagnosed recently with sleep apnea. Her doctor prescribed the Resmed Elite Auto with humidifier. I had suggested the S9 with the capability of seeing more data, types of events, leak data, etc. Her doctor told her she had a few centrals and the S9 wouldn't handle them. He also told he...

Re: Airfit & SD card
I did get a new card on Saturday, that's when I used it and had no data Sunday morning in Sleepyhead. I reinserted it last night but haven't checked it yet today, needed to get a few errands done before work.
Thanks, Pugsy, you've been a big help.

Re: Airfit & SD card
I just unlocked it and inserted it. It immediately when to "reading the SD card". Unfortunately it stayed like the for 15 minutes until I took it out. Guess I'm not going to know leak numbers. Thanks for your help!

Re: Swift LT issues
I've been using the P10 for 2 weeks and am trying to figure out what could be causing your tooth pain from it and came up with nothing. Once when my Swift LT or FX (I forget which one) was getting old and I needed to tighten the back strap more to keep a seal I did experience some front teeth pain. ...

Re: Airfit & SD card
Hi Pugsy, Yes, the S9. I have a tendency to call it a machine rather than cpap. I'm using my old laptop, which I pretty much only use for reading the SD card for my cpap. I have both a smart phone and Samsung tablet, have not checked on their capabilities for reading the card. The operating system o...

Airfit & SD card
I got the Airfit mask 2 weeks ago and am pretty happy with it. The only downside I see is the inability to loosen or tighten the back strap. However it looks like an easy lab ratting fix when it stretches out too much. Prior to using it the first night I downloaded data off the SD card in order to g...
