Re: Cleaning distilled water reservoir

Take a look at this utube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scg8Nc9LkRo That's awesome! No matter how long mine air dried, there was always condensation in there due to the internal separate parts. It would be foggy in there and it was difficult to see the fill line indicator at times. Thanks for sha...

Re: Sinus Congestion with CPAP Therapy

Sorry that lowering the heat on the humdifier did not work for you --so far. Maybe you backed it down too much or maybe the Afrin had something to do with it. You need to do a little more experimenting with humidity settings, and of course, wean off the Afrin. I think I will bump it back up to abou...

Re: Sinus Congestion with CPAP Therapy

So, how did that brandy, or the humidifier work out for you? . Kathy Well Kathy, I'm still stopped up this morning. I did back the humi down to 1.5 last night and noticed the air was a lot cooler and I felt a little more dried out. In fact I remember waking up once and my mouth was extremely dry. M...

Thanks guys...er gals! I have my humidifier set on 3.5 from the DME. I might try backing off on that tonight, and see if that won't help. Cheers! (toasting brandy glasses)

Sinus Congestion with CPAP Therapy

Hi Guys, Just wanted to run a quick scenario by you and see if there is a connection. I started back on CPAP therapy a couple of weeks ago after a 5 year hiatus. I was almost over a cold when I got my machine; but I've noticed that I have sinus congestion that I just can't seem to shake. Since I us...

Re: Facebook Sleep Apnea Page

I just saw something in the news about how insurance companies are denying workman's comp claims because people that are collecting are posting pictures of themselves that are evidentiary against their claims.

Re: Rescan and windows 7 64 bit

I have Windows 7 64 bit. The ResScan I downloaded from Uncle_Bob's page is running just fine. It automatically opens when I put my machine's SD card in the computer's SD card reader.
Hope that helps.

Re: Everyones Take on seeing a counselor?

NightMonkey. I don't think anyone is trying to lead her down a path of ill health. Due to seasonal allergies and a propensity to sinus infections, I too, am a mouth breather when sleeping. I find that my nasal pillows actually suction the back of my throat closed, so that if my mouth comes open at ...

Re: Everyones Take on seeing a counselor?

Why don't you try Swift FX or Swift LT nasal pillows? That would eliminate the claustrophobic feeling. I worried that nasal pillows would feel like a strong force of air up my nose, but in truth, I sometimes have to pull them away to make sure the air is on. My guess is, a counselor would work with...

Software For ResMed S9 Elite with EPR

Hi there! I got a new S9 the other day and I am wondering where to obtain compatible software for this machine. I see a lot of folks using the ResScan version 3.7 software with this machine, but I can't find where to obtain it. And, is this the only software that can be used with this machine? It lo...

My First Post

Hi Happy Hose Heads! This is my inaugural post here on cpaptalk. I was diagnosed with OSA about 5 years ago and was fitted with a cpap machine back then. I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't seek a lot of support and thus I fell quickly into non compliance. Eventually giving my machine to GoodWi...
