Re: New TAP PAP mask review

Thanks for all the suggestions. Yes I have been trying different adjustment positions. Yes... I tried rotating the pillows. One night it was almost pain free... But other nights I get discomfort. I pretty much need to adjust it slightly every night to eliminate leaks. (My auto tends to run between 1...

Re: New TAP PAP mask review

I really wanted to LOVE this mask. I loved the way it stays in place without straps. I really LOVE being able to wake up without strap marks on my face! One tragic flaw for me... Unfortunately my nose is a bit to wide to fit the nasal pillows comfortably. The pillows pinch my septum so hard I can't ...

Re: S9 Humidifier Faulure?

I've had both errors. One was on an extremely hot day when the sun was shining on the unit and hose. The other time was when I ran the humidifier dry during the night. They're both overtemperature errors. Neither has since recurred. I doubt they're the fault of the machine. It's a fault in the firm...

Re: S9 Humidifier Faulure?

So I sent my machine back for a repair. CPAP.com told me that there was a problem with the humidifier and they replaced it under warranty. I have not had any errors or problems since.

Very interesting. I am sending my unit back on an RMA this week for a checkup. I am interested to hear what they say.

S9 Humidifier Faulure?

Greetings, I have been using the new ResMed S9 machine since october 2010. I have had a few issues with the Humidifier. The first problem I had was with the heated ClimateLine tube. Sometimes during the night the unit would just shut down and lock up with an error that said: "Hose failure. Replace h...

Re: Tired of CPAP!!

Try a Mirage Swift LT Nasal Pillow mask. It's not as cumbersome as most. It's easy to put on.

Re: I am scared...

I was about 35 when I first started noticing problems with snoring. At first I tried everything BUT CPAP. I lost weight. I had Somnoplasti performed. I also had the very painful UUP surgery. They removed my uvula, tonsils and adenoids. (I do NOT recommend the surgery.) Some of these treatments helpe...

Chest Pain Question?

I have been sleeping with a Respironics M series Auto CPAP with A-Flex. The machine is set with a low limit of 10 cm and a high limit of 20 cm. The A-Flex is set to 3. The machine is currently averaging around 13-14 cm for treatment. I notice that sometimes the machine has a tendency to "creep" the ...

CMS-50E clarification.

Greetings, 1. I should clarify my statement about the alarms. In record mode the unit WILL make an alarm if it falls off your finger completely. It is the min/max threshold alarms that don't work in record mode. If you put the unit in record mode and then set a threshold alarm to go off at a specifi...

Vinegar eats silicone rubber.

Greetings, Vinegar is acid. It is also part of the chemical process used to make silicone rubber. If you don't believe me... Go to your local hardware store and buy a tube of silicone caulking. Open the tube and you will smell a strong vinegar odor. I believe that soaking your mask in vinegar will d...

Flushing

Greetings, I took Niaspan for a while too. It did tend to make me feel very warm. (Flushed.) It is also very expensive! Right now I take 1500mg of "No Flush Niacin" from GNC. It is a lot less expensive than Niaspan and it does not seem to make me feel flushed. According to my blood tests... It seems...
